*	Elyon (Jonathan TR):  Greetings to you, this is Elyon.  I welcome you as
you welcome myself and my associates to this meeting place.  It is a great
joy to
continue our fellowship.  The likelihood of progress on this planet  is
exemplified by your willingness to share, coupled with your infusion of spirit
insight into your daily events.  Your exchanges give to one another the
wherewithal to cope and grapple with everyday problems, because you
exemplify for
and with each other how to incorporate divinity and spiritual truth into your
perplexities.
	I wish to discuss hope a bit with you today.  I have in lessons past spoken
about faith in two manners: one, the faith that holds strongly, that
continues to
grasp, to cling -- in a positive sense -- when the soul is buffeted about, when
conflict attempts to weaken the grip.  A strong faith that is not shaken.  I
have
also spoken about faith in the form of adventure, willingness, a trust in the
face of risk, to leap out, to leave behind surety and safety with the trust, the
faith, in guidance and divine overcare.  This twofold nature is applicable to
hope.
	Hope contains within it a reference to future, that hope which longs for a
better outcome, for a desired result. It also entails a degree of needing the
assistance of another party to fulfill that dream.  This form is a hope that
asks, that knows that greater power is available.  It is one that recognizes
one's own shortcomings and believes and trusts that guidance is available and
will be made available, that one need not have the power and wherewithal
already,
but that in the course of time those abilities will be granted and the outcome
arrived at.
	The other aspect of hope is a present tense form rather than a future wish. 
That is where you as an individual have already acquired the requisite skill and
ability and talents to undertake the steps, the courses of unfoldment, that
would
bring to you the fulfillment of a dream, of a goal.  This hope is the untested
trial of your already possessed abilities, that, in a sense, "I hope it works"
form of hope.  Here, much like the adventurous faith, one must grab hold of
trust
and leap forward and let this hope demonstrate that you are qualified to engage
in a challenge that is before you.
	Personality has a tendency to orient in one of two ways; to rely either
solely on self for all providence or to rely entirely on another, for instance,
in the divine grace.  It is naturally easy to have hope when it is coupled
to the
awareness of the Father's omnipotence and loving overcare.  It is often far too
easy to not have hope in one's own self and abilities, to distrust the
attainments you have worked so hard for to date, to be uncertain that they will
work adequately with the conflicts you face.  Activate this hope, make it work,
make it prove to you you are blessed.  You have been trained.  You are ready.
	When one constructs a scaffolding to cross a chasm, before construction
begins there is the dream of crossing this chasm; there is the hope that one day
you will reach that other side so impossible of crossing in its current state. 
Then, after giving birth to the design and putting your energies into the
construction of your scaffolding, you are faced with a new hope, the hope that
your scaffolding holds as you cross the chasm.  You must trust that you built it
well.  Of course you must consider your process and re-evaluate it that it has
been undertaken rightly, that the execution incorporated safety and stability. 
This is that hope that requires experience to give way to trust.
	Your prayers of record have the prayer of one line that says, "where there
is despair may I sow hope".  An equally useful line is, "where there is
doubt may
I sow hope".  Doubt in oneself is merely hope in dormancy needing to be
exercised.  This exercise is the proof of your abilities.  It will likewise
reveal your shortcomings, and you know I am fond of the discovery of
shortcomings, for they bring you strength as you fill in the lack and attain
greater ability.
	 Hope for what is good, true, and beautiful for your future and for this
world.  But also activate your trusting hope in your own attainment and your
spiritual strength to solve your problems and to minister to your fellows.
	I hope my message has been helpful today.  As I said, there are others with
me, and I will pause for their interjection.

*	Corona (Ginny):  Good morning, this is Corona.
	You have been speaking elegantly of action, of virtuous actions, which,
being appealing to you at this time of confusion and reflection, you have seen
opposite sides.  You have witnessed various interpretations of what it means to
be courageous, loyal, fearless, determined.  These are indeed qualities of a
warrior, not only of a warrior but also of a peacemaker.  As you well know
Urantians have a tendency to need to see extremes before a balance can be found,
and that indeed is a valuable method of learning at this point of time on your
planet.  By witnessing extremes you can better adjust your own behavior and your
own thinking, for you can easily determine the terrible outcome of times of
extreme behavior.  How can you as peacemakers adopt those qualities of courage
and loyalty and determination and valor and strength and still be a peacemaker?
	I would like to open up the floor so that you all can contribute to this
question of how to practice these qualities of courage and determination and
still remain a peacemaker, how you can be a spiritual warrior.

	Jonathan:  I first think of Jesus, the conflict he and the apostles had
with the temple rulers in Jerusalem, the danger if they entered the city.  He
avoided Jerusalem several times, but once when it was the most dangerous he
said,
"Let's go!" and marched on in.  It meant facing his death.  He was courageous in
bringing his message of peace and love to all.  For myself the sense of timing,
knowing when to hold back and when to push forward in promoting peace is
important.  Jesus changed the world by his action at that time.
*	Corona:  You have perceived well the activities of our master.

	Evelyn:  In our current patriotic climate it takes valor to speak against
our government's violent activities.

*	Corona:  Put this then foremost in your thoughts in the coming week where
you may need the expanse of time to mull over these questions of how to be a
courageous peacemaker.
	It is my pleasure to be again among you, and I pledge my ever-present
watchcare to you not only in this time of reflection and decision making in your
country but at other times in peace and prosperity as well.  I take the
responsibility gladly and I pledge my loyalty.  Thank you for your attention.

*	Lanaforge (Jonathan):  I am motivated this day to make contact with you in
order that I may assist in providing clarity to events that can bring confusion
to the minds of my young populace.  I am Lanaforge.
	You have experienced some unsettling, tragic events on a scale large enough
that your whole planet takes note.  It is a delight to me to note how far this
world has come such that all around the world you can know of an event soon
enough to be directly part of it.  The reason why this is a delight is that
there
are many beings assigned to this world whose exclusive directive is to promote
the attainment of Light and Life.  When an entire world deals with lessons that
bring planetary growth, planetary growth follows.  If large populations are 
oblivious to those needed steps in attainment, the planet lingers at its current
level and does not advance.  Naturally there are tragedies inherent in living in
the biologic form you are encased in at this time.
	Now, there are three orientations by various administrators and ministers
to your world.  There are those of whom I have just spoken.  The focus is the
advancing stages that bring Light and Life.  That is the primary focus, and all
decisions and courses of actions are towards that aim.  Others, as is
Corona, are
here with the exclusive perspective of elevating your souls and pointing you
Godward, of being instrumental in your ascension career in helping you to
rise to
the Paradise abode and to do all that is necessary to safeguard and to promote
your spiritual welfare and advancement.
	There are many times when the purposes of these two groups do not seem to
work in harmony.  Many lives were lost in your country that thwarted the
plans of
those who seek the spiritual advancement, but that may play towards
advancing the
progress of this world as you deal with the conflicts existing among countries
and cultures.  I do not mean to say that events such as you experienced caused
the advancement of one group's goals and the delay or disruption of another, for
this is not the case.  It must be considered based on individuals and their
current standing.
	Then, that third group, ... like myself.  I have two purposes.  ...[to
bring the inhabited worlds of this] system to Light and Life and to see to it
that every being born on each one of those worlds has a good chance of choosing
the course of ascension to our Father on Paradise.  I and many who work with me
must juggle between the events of a world and the unfolding of the individual
souls.  This is extremely difficult.  I assure you of all the support that I and
my administration can offer.  I ask you to bear with the uncertainty, the
unanswered questions of why events take place which seem to hurt in some
ways and
yet can prove beneficial in others.  There are two great plans, and there are
three approaches to these plans: the plan of Light and Life and the plan of
ascension to Paradise, then those like myself who must work with both
intertwined.
	I give you my admiration and my support.  I take my leave.
