SUSAN: I'm thinking, Paulo, of Alana's Heart Room and how we bring problems
to it, and the problems when I think about it – very often we're attached to
the problem in the sense like – Who got hurt the most? Or who betrayed who
first? And that kind of thing, and that when we bring these things into her
Heart Room,... these problems, for that negative competition, these problems
disappear because Love melts them, or has this capacity, it seems, to allow
for these differences to exist simultaneously together and then allow Love ..
I don't know how, quite, it does it. It seems to- it does it without words
very often. She just blows love on it. And suddenly I can see this enemy, or
this competitor! I agree, I think -- I have been discovering my hidden
competitions, and somehow I can see this person as the competition is not
going where either person wants to go because we all are yearning for Love.
I think that's what I discover in her Heart Room, and it opens up a little
more room for a cooperative effort to restore Love between people. And I
guess I'm constantly having to watch for – I'm going to use your word –
rebellion to fit in with competition for that resistence to letting Love do
it all.

PAULO: You have found the answer but as Ginny says, she is observing that
people are getting to that point but haven't gone over the edge yet and you
have gone over the edge. You have fallen into this Heart Room that is
steeped in Divine Affection, and in this room the ills of yesteryear are
absolved, but as long as the emphasis is on holding close those ills and
injustices, they will continue to long for that which you are now realizing.

Thus, persist! You have learned how to be as harmless as doves. But to
those who have not yet learned to Love and Be Loved, through the Spirit,
their frame of reference is that old paradigm that is highly threatening. As
they look around, however, and begin to perceive that the lights are coming
on, the times they are a changing, they will have more willingness to break
out of their own mental framework and experiment, taste, the "other" and when
that door is open just a bit the toehold of Truth can enter in and LURE even
more.

Keep up the good work! We are succeeding! And it's still very early in the
millennium. Be mindful of this time, and recognize the long-held desperation
that has been Urantia's and the corrections that have already taken place,
the circuits that have already opened, and, the hallmark millennial
anniversary having passed, there is tremendous Hope, tremendous Ambition, and
you all are also involved and feeling this stimulation. So while I would not
do anything to curtail your excitement, I would ask you to be mindful of the
potential hysteria that is inherent in having such a global era open and
thrust upon you so quickly. These past 50 years have brought incredible
changes, and 50 years is a very short time.

The previous epochal revelation of Jesus also had a germinating period of
time, a tremendous upsurge, and then a leveling out. As did Abraham's people
after Machiventa. Your world will also level out and many of these surges of
inspiration and ambition are going to have all the time in the world to find
themselves and become stabilized as an advancing reality. It's not necessary
that you found Light and Life next week. Just work within your own heart to
live within a frame work of light and life with your own Indwelling Adjuster,
and in that relationship, extend your self out into your immediate
neighborhood and touch the lives of others, and as this reality stabilizes
and unfolds, it will alter all of humanity.

If you'd like to compete to see who wins the most souls for the Kingdom,
that's an idea.

GROUP: Hmmmmm. (Mumbles about churches)

SUSAN: Churches. Churches to me are associated with who can get to be the
biggest church and get the most people to come to it.

PAULO: Unfortunately that has nothing to do with a genuine spiritual
experience. It has to do with establishing Kingdoms such as the early
Apostles thought the Master had come to bring. But you will find remnants of
that thought pattern even in your world today for in truth it has not been
that long since He was here. It has not been long at all! And it is not so
deeply ingrained that it cannot be lifted up into a greater recognition of
the real Kingdom that Jesus mentioned as being within.

That is the benefit of this epochal revelation. Everyone is able to
experience a personal relationship with divinity and they can read about it
at their leisure. It's even getting so that these things can be read in all
major languages, and this again makes your planet smaller and your neighbors
closer and the new paradigm nearer.

So our times are very exciting and it is no wonder we find you all being all
excited and agitated in your community. We are also in our community,
although we have not got some of the practices to overcome that you have been
part of for a long time – although they will fall away as old snake skins as
you molt into the new season, the new day.

Alright then, I'm getting near the end of our interview, our session, our
sojourn today. Have you anything else before we go?

DAVID: I have a question on the tip of my tongue, Paulo. When we talked
about being competitive for winning people into the Kingdom, I come from a
very evangelical background; I attended an evangelical seminary, and I have
subsequently – I feel quite antithetical to what I would call "the
evangelical spirit" to, let's say within Protestantism. My question then is,
how does one go about being evangelical with the truths and the love that we
feel and ... all I know about at this time is that the most important thing
for me is to be loving to my beloved. I find myself smiling constantly at
strangers I meet every place on our journey, but do we have to give out
tracts, messages, bring up Jesus? Can you give us a little handrail on that
one?

PAULO: I will give you an example, yes, of the women's evangelical corp that
was established at the time of Christ. These ten and a dozen and 70 women
went out and ministered to the sick and the needy, and their devotion to
ministering to people was so touching as to evoke a sense in them, in their
patients, a profound gratitude for someone who cared enough to feed them
broth and wipe their brow. The simple ministries of human kindness and
caring for those in need is the true evangelical fervor.

Brochures, pamphlets, leaflets serve no more than to give the litter crew
something to do. They put money in the coffers of the print shops and they
might impress some people by providing handsome bookmarks or posters, but
they have not fed the Spirit; they have fed the human interest to do
something. I cannot fault the human desire to do something, even if it's
wrong. And even if I could (which technically I can) it would serve little
purpose for, as you well know, Our Father will make the best of whatever it
is that His children do in their attempt to follow His will as they see it.

GINNY: We were never told to pass out leaflets and brochures, but we were
told to minister to the needs of our fellow beings.

PAULO: But you have to be where you see they have a need. You can't serve a
need in ivory towers or sitting around pouring tea and discussing philosophy.
Professional students can only minister through words. There are some who
minister through music and through entertainment; indeed through novels or
movies or oratory, theater and the like. This serves a seat in the soul or
in the mind. And yet if you want to get really evangelical, go into the poor
parts of town and bring hope to the downtrodden, food to the hungry, medicine
to the sick, and don't stand back smug and say, "Well, they knew what they
were getting into when they incarnated here."

I have said enough. How wonderful it is to share time with you, within this
format. We can take these memories with us into our travels as we pass by.
Go with God, as I know you will, and otherwise we'll see you next week.

GROUP: Thank you.
