(Discussion continued)

AARON: Or that you would not be able to withstand the leveling of pride that
comes with recognizing you have been imperfect?

THOROAH: No.

AARON: I would not hesitate, then, if I were you, to begin to portray for
your mind's eye your celestial peers and planetary helpers. You may discover
that they can have conversations on their own to which you can be a party.

THOROAH: That would be interesting.

AARON: Or an observer, and gain insights by appreciating their perspective.
All this is possible as you give personality an opportunity to exist. All
these personalities and potential realities are possible because of God's
will. Find out what it is for you. Make it real. Make it so by cooperating
with the greater reality and helping foster it and bring it into being.

You say, "What for? What's the point?" Except for your own mental exercise
or imaginative diversion. But you cannot give reality any more substance
that it has inherently. And if it is not in keeping with His will for you,
that you take this knowledge into your arena and use it to expand the gospel
or the living organism of the brotherhood of man, including the celestial
sons and daughters in your cosmic family, then you will be shown how to use
this information to augment truth, beauty and goodness or to abstain from
mentioning it at all.

As with any tool, however, you will find that if you want to use it, the more
you practice with it, the more adept you become. And skilled. It becomes an
art. A craft.

Alright, I have completed my exercise. I don't know if I have done any good
at all, but you seem to find the subject fascinating, so I thought I'd spend
some time with you overall.

THOROAH: I thought it was excellent and very timely. I'm getting the idea of
maybe sculpting. A visionary sculpting process.

AARON: Well, sculpting is a good way. Your development of your perception of
your companion is much like George describing the elevator rising and
revealing a face, a body of a being in such a way as to allow the viewer
(you) to assimilate your recognition of the fact of its existence in a
framework that is amenable to you so that you don't fear your neighbors in
the spirit realm, on the other side.

THOROAH: It doesn't feel like fear, but maybe it is. Something in front of
you. I get over excited and hyper-ventilate.

AARON: You have had glimpses of your personal teacher.

THOROAH: Yes.

AARON: Both personal teachers, I believe, have lent glimpses of themselves to
you so you have an idea of their coloring or their mannerism. This gives
them greater credibility in your consciousness. Not only in the
super-conscious realm, but also in your conscious, sub-conscious and
unconscious. They become more real because you have given them greater
reality. There have been disparaging remarks about how it is that the human
is always dragging God down to his level. I am suggesting that this is an
area of play, where you are indeed encouraged to bring God down to your level
in order for you to perceive of His vast family.

Incidently, it's fun for me to think about how you will even more appreciate
the arrival of some of these Teacher Sons or the presence of the Magisterial
Son or possibly other materializations ... [tape turned] and weigh that
reality with that which you have helped bring into being by your own
perception. Always is Reality greater than that which you have managed to
perceive. This is why it is always exciting and ever enlightened.

THOROAH: Well, that makes me want to ask the question that this conscious
reality that we're familiar with now, mortals here on this planet, as real as
that airplane sound was, that is real in this reality. Are entities going to
make themselves present to us in that reality? Or are we going to have to
discover them in their reality? Or is it a combination of both?

AARON: It's a natural combination, just like any of these have been so far.
You have to reach and we have to reach. The only thing that is laid in your
lap is your Thought Adjuster.

THOROAH: Okay. That's very succinctly put, that last phrase.

AARON: Even that is not accessed without your active participation. You need
to reach inward and upward while it inherently is a reality of God that has
already reached down and made itself at home within you.

THOROAH: So in a sense, all these realities are going on around us at the
same time; it's just our inability to recognize them that we have to get past.

AARON: Yes! And if you can begin to give them a reality, they begin to take
on a substance that you can use. You won't know how until you've done it.
It's like the kid who complains about having to learn Latin. "It's a dead
language!" he exclaims.

THOROAH: I think I said that!

AARON: And yet the value of Latin has been incomparable over the ages in
eliciting a great deal from language that has lent edification to the minds
of man, over many parts of the globe for many generations. It seems I've
diverted everyone. Have we all suddenly gone back to high school? Alright
then, while we're there, can you see the hallway? Can you see the lockers
lined up along the side? Can you see the floor shining and gleaming, having
just been buffed by the maintenance crew? Can't you hear everyone in the
classrooms, behind closed doors, muffled voices of teachers, while your heels
clicking on this empty hall echo into infinity?

Rap your knuckles on one of those lockers and hear the sound of your youth.
You can smell it. If you stand there long enough, you will be able to
remember what you had on. What style of shoes you are wearing. What the
cover is on your textbook. What page your homework reading assignment begins
on. You'll know what you have in your lunch pail. You'll know what your
mother is having for supper and what your father is going to tell you about
this evening.

All of these memories and realities of a life are able to be accessed because
you have given credibility to them. You have stopped in your tracks long
enough to say, "I have known this. This is a reality. This has meaning."
Maybe you don't attend that high school any more. And maybe you haven't used
a locker for a long time. But that doesn't mean that that experience isn't a
part of you, that you can't relate to those magic moments of being a young
person getting an education and realizing the potential of the mind and the
dreams of the future.

So make friends with your unseen helpers. Give them something to wear; give
them a book to carry; give them a reality so that they can walk with you and
talk with you as realities into your next phase of cosmic citizenship.
They're all full of good ideas, insights, inspirations and intentions that
you will identify with and learn to cherish and depend on.

Get next to your midwayer friends early on and you'll get familiar with the
streets of Urantia. You'll learn "street smarts" in an entirely new
language.

I've had a good time here today. Thanks, Gerdean, for bearing with me. I'm
getting warmed up now so I better get off.

GROUP: (Chuckling)
THOROAH: It's been great, Aaron.

AARON: We'll do more. Maybe you can use this impetus to play with it a
little bit and when we meet again, you'll have gone beyond the lesson to be
able to convey to me what has happened to you as a result of some of the work
you've done in this realm of the mind.

THOROAH: Thank you.

GINNY: Thank you, Aaron. You sound a little different this time than what
I'm used to. I don't know why. But, say hello to your friend Timothy.

AARON: I'd like to hear from YOUR friend Timothy.

GINNY: (Giggling) Maybe next time. Next time I'll ... I have an appointment
tonight that's sort of getting on my time.

AARON: Alright then.

GINNY: It seems to me – are you buddies? Are you partners or something?

AARON: I am a long-term associate and friend. We have about the same degree
of tenure. And have many shared experiences. So yeah, you could say we were
fraternity brothers.

I'm not going to stick around, nor am I going to turn the floor over to
another teacher because we don't seem to be able to give those poignant one
paragraph lessons any more. We've made ourselves at home. I just want to
draw on the meaning of the season. I didn't make much mention last week
about your season and there were those who wondered why not. I didn't mean
to be rude, but we don't celebrate Christmas here so I didn't pay too much
attention to it.

I am aware, however, that even though I'm not a Christian or Jewish or even
Africaan, I am mindful of the influence of the new millennia upon us, and
even though we have many times talked to you about new beginnings, I cannot
let this moment pass without embracing the potential of tomorrow - the
threshold of the millennia that will bring correction, light and life, to
your world.

We've made such good strides in a short period of time and there are so many
things unfolding now because you have allowed so many doors to open, but even
so we have a whole planet to contend with. Let this be our commitment: to
embrace not just the light of truth, but also embrace the darkness, for in
loving that which we cannot see, it will emerge into the light. I cannot
conceive of a more appropriate new year's greeting for Urantia than to
realize that the awakening is into the light and shall be forevermore.

Shalom!

GROUP: Shalom.
