ABRAHAM

OCTOBER 19, 2003

WOODS CROSS GROUP

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I am enjoying your common sense discussion this
evening. You are relaxed and with spiritual comfort. That speaks volumes
concerning your intentions. It is well understood that you have chosen to be
about the Father's business-come what may.

The Master Himself could have taken a very different path than He did. He
could have went with the popular vote. He could have risen to great heights
in the eyes of the masses. His journey could have been a bit more smooth.
The Master however had not worry for Himself. He had enduring trust in the
Father. It was Father who lit the Master's path, who endowed Him with
spiritual strength, who kept Him focused on the goal ahead.

The Master knew whom He served. It was not Himself, nor the wish fulfillment
of the people, no. He served the Source of all truth, beauty and goodness.
The Master could have very well pleased His apostles more by giving into
their desires or thoughts of personal grandeur. If the Master put His mortal
fellows as His sovereign then indeed would He cater to their wishes. If the
Master defined His being by their thoughts of Him, then of course would His
life in the flesh been easier to live.

If Jesus had lived to serve His ego then He would place importance upon the
opinions of His fellows concerning His character. Jesus had absolutely no
concern for others opinions of His personal being. He had a healthy
understanding of self-forgetfulness. The Kingdom of God was not about Him.
The Kingdom was about the whole. It was about a loving Father and His many
children in who He loved deeply.

The Master defined His being by the closeness of His relationship to His
Father in Heaven. He well knew He was indeed an extension of the Source of
all there is. That was His passion--that was His zest for life. Do you see
His freedom? He was free to be who He truly was without interference from
the ego. He knew well He was not of this world and He had complete freedom
to be about the Father's business.

The morontial citizens live to advance toward the Father. They know well not
to live out their lives according to their fellows opinions of them. They
are committed to Father as their sovereign. They are entirely free to learn
and grow as they will. They are not held back by popular vote. They are not
indebted to their fellows to define their personal being. Father is the goal
and citizens within the Morontial Brotherhood know that the ego does not
serve in accomplishing this goal.

My friends, you are each valued universe citizens. You have received the
gift of mind and personality. You are each unique and loved simply because
you are. To be indebted to others opinions of you is to live according to
what they think. You know who you are. To be burdened by the definitions the
world places upon you is to lose freedom. Where in this world are you truly
free? Is it not true that in freedom you are at your best?

This week find time to journal your thoughts on what and/or whom you serve.
Who controls your levels of freedom? No question this evening-perhaps next.
Know that I am with ever expanding love for you each. I take great joy in
your company and willingness to be about the Father's business. Until next
time, shalom
