MEETING WITH ABRAHAM -- REDIRECT YOUR FOCUS
JANUARY 30, 2000
WOODS CROSS GROUP

I am ABRAHAM. Welcome. What a beautiful and calming energy we have here this
evening. Our connection to Father and one another is clearer and stronger by
the minute.
Every now and then I desire to allow my pure spiritual intentions to
surface, while cares and concerns float away. We can direct our focus to
where we will be most productive.

Our Father, we desire at this time to cast our cares aside. We seek for your
pure intentions to well up within us. We worry not for tomorrow because you
are overseeing our path. We will relax in the security of your care. We are
without agenda so that you may work through us for the betterment of all.
Amen.

How cleansing in heart and mind to quit pushing for your desires to be
fulfilled! What liberty is there in not wanting! How the avenues of the mind
are opened to new possibilities when we do not put so much effort into
pushing for our own agenda's!

As a mortal it is completely natural to hold closely to what you know, to
what you have, to what you think you are. This is binding and limiting
prospects to those new avenues. How can we take in the new if our will is
not in alignment with Father's? What food for the soul when you can feel the
peace of not being pressured to strive to fulfill what you think you need to
have fulfilled, what rest for the mind, body and soul! Yes.

Would self-chastisement redirect your focus toward this relaxing in pushing
forward with your intentions? Sure. To know you don't have to hurry forward
in all that you think you need to do is opening avenues within the mind to
new possibilities. Self-discipline would seem to put a stop on your desires,
and therefore make you wait and long for fulfillment. When self-discipline
should fill you with a peace that says, "I am accepting of whatever Father
wills. I am not pressured. I am taking in comfort and peace because I rely
upon Father. I am nurturing my soul. I am full with the love and over-care
that Father provides. I am confident He oversees my every need. I shall not
want." Do you want what you want or can you align your will to want what
Father wants?

He is the keeper of the watchtower. His broadened vision oversees your every
need. You are on the ground surface and your vision is not as Father's. You
are not able to see the good results produced from this decision or that
decision. You have not the view that Father has, but you can take comfort
knowing He is in His watchtower ever vigilant in overseeing your every need.
He is able to instruct and guide in your every decision, and is that not a
cause for peace, a cause for gratitude, a cause to feel confident in the
world? Yes.

Practice in self-discipline is relief from the pressures of the world's
opinion of you. You need not answer to the world when you are answering to
the Maker of the world. This is freedom. This is cause to relax in the
comfort of the Lord. This is nurturing the soul that provides fulfillment
within--so much so that all other things that may fulfill seem empty and
inadequate.

The Master lived and breathed the word of His Father. His confidence was
unmatched and He moved about freely in the world knowing that Father went
before Him. Father did the difficult tasks and paved the Master's way. Did
Jesus have need for self-chastisement? At times in His days of youth, yes.
He did find thought clarification in chastising Himself against His need to
fulfill His desires in favor of Father's. This practice in self-mastery led
Him to act as if there were no other way than to align His desire with
Father's will. This practice became natural and self-chastisement was no
longer needed.

I at times have my own agenda that scrambles my focus on the overall
purpose. I still find honest and direct self-talk brings me back to the
common goal. Prayers of alignment also minister to my soul in that it
provides comfort where I want not for myself--but for the Father. I am made
to rest and feel that soul peace which surpasses all understanding and
provides me with a fresh outlook everyday. I am naturally made to be of
service to the whole. My focus is redirected back to the goal. What is the
goal? What is the purpose for forgoing self-indulgence to await those
greater things of the Kingdom?

This week rehearse your own prayers of alignment. Note the inner comfort
makes all outer comfort secondary. If in prayers of alignment--is
self-chastisement still so needed? If the soul is fed is there an increase
in self-mastery? I am as always with more love for you each week. I am
always uplifted by our friendship. Until next week, shalom.
