June 17, 2001 Fathers Day
Elyon (Mark TR): I greet you today. This is Elyon, and I would
change the pace slightly and ask that you join me in a moment of
gratitude and worship, for today is Fathers Day and it is
entirely appropriate that we spend a moment in recognition and
awareness of the Father of all.
Dear Father of fathers, we acknowledge your light and your love
to the very boundaries of our abilities. We understand your
divinity to our full capacity. We seek only in our journey to
you that we more fully grasp who you are and more fully become
day by day all that we are to become. We realize that this
journey is your gift to us, Father, and we understand that our
only significant gift or contribution we make will be our
journey and the accumulated experiences you have set out so
generously for us. We ask to fully engage this experience that
we may live to the fullest and contribute our experiences back
to you, the one who has made them all possible. We realize this
is a certainty, and we look forward with great love and
anticipation to the fulfillment of this destiny.
Today I would say a few words about reinforcement, particularly
positive reinforcement. As you know as an aspect of your dual
nature, all animals on your world respond to tones instinctively
and without consideration. They are either drawn to or away from
any situation largely based upon the tones that are used in
creating the situation. Your words can be viewed as less
significant than the tone of voice, the phrasing, the welcoming,
you provide in their delivery. You must grow to understand that
it is not so much the specifics of what you say but the love
with which you say them. When said with a loving, devotional,
tone your words take on the tones of a heavenly song which draws
the hearer ever deeper to you as they are instinctively pulled
toward your positive tones. Likewise, using stern or negative
images has the opposite effect of repelling your listener away,
even unconsciously. It is much as drawing a horse out of the
stable one uses soothing, calming tones to assure the animal
that there is no cause for danger or for fear. Using sharp,
abrupt tones sends an animal into frenzied flight unconsciously.
Whenever possible remind yourself of the impact of your words
and the tones you use to deliver them. This is the very reason
why we as teachers and parents come to learn that our charges
are greatly comforted by soothing tones of appreciation and
love, and the barriers fall away, the minds and the hearts open
up, and subsequently the truths are able to penetrate deeply
into the being. One in this life cannot err to the side of
positive reinforcement. It is very important that those you
contact perceive your accepting nature and your positive tones.
Again, your words are not as important as the manner in which
you express your natures, your understanding. We offer repeated
head pats to your group that we may express our pleasure and
beckon you, draw you forward, with our tones of endearment and
love and appreciation. This draws the animal out of the stable.
This brings the animal to be openly hand fed by the custodian.
That having been said, it is nice to appreciate all of you,
sharing this time with me in recognition of the Father of all
and in recognition of the power of the positive word to impact
and make positive changes on our entire sphere of influence.
Those are my words for today, and I know of your appreciation
for my lessons and my service to you. I send you my appreciation
for your service to me and to the mission, as well. I step aside
to allow for others.
Malvantra (Jonathan): I greet you, I am Malvantra. I will speak
on the subject of worship.
We note your expressions of difficulty with the practice of
stillness, for it is not the natural state of beings of your
kind who are wired biologically for activity. On a world fraught
with peril, established initially in the mechanism of fight or
flight, the organism is not inclined to close all senses down
and to sit. You will find periods of stillness in the Father's
presence on the mansion worlds easier to undertake, for your
very vehicle itself will be better suited to that activity. Once
you overcome that difficulty, the practice is much easier to
undertake.
It is up to each individual to discover techniques that
predispose one to the experience of worship. Worship in itself
has no technique, for it is the experience of personality with
the Original Personality, our Father, and that exchange cannot
be formulated. But given cultural conditioning, biological
tendency, and personal orientation, you can craft for yourself
methods that will bring the worship experience to you. If you
picture a drop of water on a table and adjacent to it a dry
paper towel, the methods you develop for worship are intended to
close the distance. Once the paper towel and the droplet meet,
there is absorption; there is merging. This is the worship
experience. When personality of son or daughter meets in the
embrace of the Paradise Father it is a form of oneness much like
the meeting of water and paper.
All of you have been engaged in the study of the pursuit of the
Father and the understanding of reality as a means for greater
recognition of the work and nature of the Father. You know your
purpose is to understand reality and to pursue spiritual
experience. Michael has left you with a charge to go forth and
preach the gospel. You also know that wisdom and worship are the
highest forms of adjutant mind function. It then becomes
apparent that these three: the pursuit of wisdom, the experience
of worship, and outreach in service, become your primary
purpose, your foremost activities no matter what specific
undertaking or event you are engaged in. These overlay all
contexts wherein you may acquire or express these three
purposes. Each will reveal the Father to you in different ways,
refreshing ways, and as I have indicated that there is no
technique for worship itself, but technique to arrive there, the
same holds true with service and the acquirement of wisdom. You
must learn what methods are appropriate for you, the ones that
facilitate the acquirement of these experiences, and by
facilitate I mean not only that make it easier, but also may
propel you forward when you are resistant, that dutiful drive,
that sense of obligation, that knowing what is right even if you
are not feeling in the mood for it.
There are teachers hanging in the wings, and it has been given
to me to open the floor to discussion. You may request feedback
of teachers in attendance.
Mark: I'm curious what any teacher might say about this upcoming
Rob Cricket presentation. I notice it pushes certain buttons
with some people. I'm trying to fit all that in positively and
appropriately.
Elyon: This undertaking of your visiting fellow is being offered
based on his experience with worship and is intended as a gift,
as a sharing of what has been learned with the desire that those
who attend discover greater intimacy with the Father, one that
they will deepen and possess for themselves without any need to
have continual instruction or guidance from your fellow. His
methods will provide new elements that you may choose to
acquire. It will also expose you to techniques that some enjoy.
I note your comment that others may not find attraction towards
engaging in some techniques offered. You as a group are desirous
of reaching to your fellow human beings to convey truth and to
encourage a personal spiritual experience. Many you meet will
not always enjoy the same practices that you have that have
enriched you. To know of methods that are not ones you
personally find uplifting but you recognize bring fruitful
rewards to others is a beneficial acquisition. Everyone who
attends has free will and must choose their reasons for being
there and must on their own sort their experience for its worth.
Be not concerned overly whether those who attend thoroughly
enjoy it or are put off, for both experiences will contribute to
deepening their understanding of themselves and what they enjoy
in a worship experience. You have provided the grounds for the
experience and for the sorting, the decision making, to be
derived therefrom. Having observed your visitor in the past, I
express anticipation that you willenjoy his visit.
Mark: Thank you. I'd like to ask about an observation of a
principle and its relevance, that is, when an individual forms a
technique, it is then available to others through the mind
circuits. As a principle it becomes more effective for those who
have mastered certain techniques to attempt to express those to
others so more minds can share that experience. In part that is
what we are expecting of ourselves. We are promoting what is the
property of mankind, trying to jump-start those around us by
example. Could you speak to the relevance of this?
Elyon: Yes, I will. You have discerned well this mechanism, this
natural sharing, and the ability of mind to adopt the methods of
others, the approaches of others. Your desire to jump-start
another's pursuit of greater spiritual experience is quite
similar to your anticipated weekend next week. Here is one who
has the same motivations to share things learned on his own.
This sharing is good. The greater it is spread around the world
the more drawn closer the world brotherhood will be. But it must
be kept in mind that techniques, constructs, methods, are
stepping stones and not the path itself. All too often divisions
are cleaved between different groups of spiritual aspirants over
approaches.
This is the very reason why Michael was reluctant to give a
prayer form to his apostles. But if you can understand that
these discoveries that you make that you wish to share with
others are, precisely as you have stated, ways to jump-start,
and let those to whom you have given this spark of initial
energy the freedom to travel in their own ways, you have done
the best, and you are allowing for the best to emerge. Since
personalities are arranged in types, you will experience
expediency with some individuals at one extreme and resistance
from others at the other extreme with degrees intervening. By
working as a group, by exposing yourself to varieties, you can
reach the broad spectrum of personal orientation. I hope this
has helped.
Mark: Yes, very much. Thank you.
When you say the technique is he stepping stone, I had the image
that you could share the technique for crossing a river, but
each crossing is of something different, unique to that
individual's crossing. The skills may be the same but each
crossing is distinct.
Elyon: Very much so. The rocks in the river bed have shifted;
the speed of the water may be greater at a different time of
year; the temperature, a branch to cling to at the bank, all
could change. To return to the stepping stone is not the path,
imagine the burden acquired if you took every stepping stone you
stepped on with you to the next. The relevant stepping stone is
the technique to use at the time.
Mark: Very nice. Thank you very much.
Elyon: You are welcome.
Mark: I'd like to follow Elyon's lead who says you can never say
too much positive and once again express gratitude to the
teachers and all those who are just behind the curtain. We feel
your presence more and more as we engage in our lives' dramas.
We yearn to commune with you and are thrilled by your words of
encouragement. We send ours back to you, our support crew. You
make our drama so much more fulfilling. We are very grateful.
Elyon: This is Elyon acknowledging the reception of your
expression and grant mutuality in our feelings toward you. We
are delighted to have students in the classroom who are eager to
learn, who desire to do their homework. It is rewarding to any
teacher to see students advance from lessons received, from
lessons we give. I will now call recess, erase the chalkboard,
and look forward to our next assembly.
MEETING WITH ABRAHAM -- SHARING OF YOURSELF JUNE 18, 2001 WOODS
CROSS GROUP
I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. Thank you for that heart and mindal
expanding prayer. Well done. (Opening prayer by Rob Cricket.)
This evening I am feeling rather filled with gratitude, for all
those things that really concern me seem small when I am truly
connected with Spirit.
Our God is a giving God. He is generous in all ways. He is
abundant with love and kindness, but also is He generous with
those lessons, be they simple or complex, that lead us closer to
Him, yes. In experiencing such kindness and generosity from a
caring Father, how can we not also want to be giving of
ourselves? In the giving are you truly divinely connected.
What does it mean to be truly giving of yourself? The goodness
from our Father flows through us like a current of energy, and
we are filled with feelings of well-being and the urge to also
do good. To be closed off, self-protecting or too shy is an
obstacle to that divine flow of energy. You have each known
individuals, or are an individual, who loathes the sharing of
yourself, your mind, your hopes, your dreams and also your
discomfort.
One who shares not--receives not. What a lonely existence to be
unwilling to be exposed for the creature you are meant to be.
Many that cannot find it in themselves to be open and willing to
share life with others usually feels that they are of no value.
Our Father sees each child with extreme value and each one is
His beloved child. In this Brotherhood \ Fellowship we must
realize the importance of the giving and receiving of one
another.
In the sharing there is learning and growth; there is literal
Spirit circuitry connections; there is the possibility of Father
being about His business through you. How many times have you
learned from hearing others experience? How many others have you
helped from sharing your experience? Do not be discouraged by
those who wish not to share or are not open to hearing you.
The Master wasn't discouraged but kept moving, being about the
Father's business. Along the way He always left His fellows with
thoughts to ponder or words of encouragement. Many did not share
back with Jesus and it was not in Him to find offense, no. His
self-forgetfulness and direct communion with Father had rendered
Him ego-less. His ego could not be bruised. Sure, His heart felt
sorrow for those He could not reach or those who spurned His
kindness, but He knew He had all the love He could ever need in
His Father.
The Master, with His divine connection, was driven to be a
fountain of good news and free flowing love and inspiration.
Jesus knew the Father's supreme desire is an unbreakable
communion with each one of His children. Now, that is something
to rejoice over. That is a reason to drop petty concerns and
anxiety. We have the universe at work for us. We have all the
love we will ever need in our Father. How can we not be a
fountain of good news?
This week contemplate your willingness to be open to others,
even if they seem harsh or different. Be willing to listen
first, then share and find that spiritual circuitry. Think about
the Master and His love for people, even those who despised Him.
Think about His self-forgetfulness that led to ego-less-ness. In
your moments of quiet time make effort to find that flow of
energy from Father and use it to serve and create lasting
spiritual bonds with others. That is all. Have you questions?
CALVIN: Abraham, first I'd like to welcome our visitor, Rob
Cricket and again, Marcie. I believe it is your second time
here. Welcome and feel free to ask a question. (ABRAHAM:
Greetings, friends.)
SIMON: Yes, Abraham, I am very grateful for the lesson this
week. It seems to go to the heart of a building and increasing
love for each person I might come in contact with each day, each
moment as the day goes on and to look forward to that day with
that increasing love for Father flowing through me and to that
individual I am in contact with. I wonder if you could speak a
little more about that issue in building that love and that
circuitry? I see it as sort of a flow like in a dam. Is that a
good visualization? Like a dam of love behind? Like to build up,
recharge? What I am asking is how to recharge that love when you
feel like it is low?
ABRAHAM: Yes, Simon. Understood. I would not so much call it a
dam, but perhaps a river that is free flowing, never beginning,
never ending, yes. There are moments in mortal living where you
feel the universe is with you and well organized. Your joy is
overflowing. You are flexible in nature. You are ready to be
shown new things. You are apt to be helpful to others. This is
the river of divine energy. This is a literal physical mindal
feeling. There are moments also when the animal side tends to
take over with ego involvement and the instincts of selfishness
are activated. This may occur when you feel you are slighted by
another, or we feel life is unfair and you turn inward and close
off. This closing off is also stopping that flow of divine
energy and this leads to feelings of isolation, unworthiness,
and ultimately a terrible loneliness, as if you are the only
person who understands what you are going through. There is an
entire universe who really understands you and is always with
you, but through the chaos of mortal living we are likely to
fall into those ego traps. We are likely to feel defenseless
instead of empowered from on High. You cannot really build
reserves of divine energy such as the dam you described.
Reserves lead to over exuberance and fanaticism, and possibly
thoughts of over self-importance. The energy must remain
free-flowing, in that you are willing to go about the Father's
business, come what may, without worry of ego damage. The river
must be allowed to keep flowing because it reaches those you
come into contact with. Good question Simon. Another question?
DIANNA: Abraham, as you know I went though this very intense
training this week and I invited Michael to aid me with this
training. These lessons have been so poignant and appropriate to
what I have been learning about--the aid, the assistance of my
brothers and sisters [inaudible] and just how we progress and
learn. I have been getting so much divine information recently,
but I wonder if you have any other perspectives about the
training in particular or an assessment for me at this time?
ABRAHAM: Certainly, Dianna, my daughter. I do realize the spurts
of growth you have been experiencing. With growth there is
always growing pains. You would do well to know that these pains
pass and not allow yourself to become so devastated by them.
With each obstacle you become stronger, and most importantly you
become the person you were intended to be. Overall you do very
well and your dedication is understood. I do recommend however
for you to become very honest with yourself. There are issues
which you are hindered by, but you feel you have no power to
change them. I say you do have personal power though the Spirit,
and Father knows your desires and hears you well. Have not worry
nor fear that you are on a path that is not what you envision
for yourself. Trust Father and trust in your ability to follow
His will. Have not worry daughter. We are with you. Another
question?
ROB: I had a personal experience with our Father, Michael of
Nebadon, and Mother Spirit. In cooperation with them have
produced a book and in cooperation with them have given my life
over to ministry [Inaudible] which brings me to this house, this
country and to the world. I have a question of asking your
comments, your advice on how you think about things I take care
of or need to that would facilitate this to the will of our
Father?
ABRAHAM: Certainly, my son. I do know you. We are not strangers.
(True) I am aware that your enthusiasm is overflowing. You are
anxious to see this work come into fruition. The best
recommendation I could give now would be to take things slowly.
Allow things to build with a natural evolving momentum. There is
no need to rush things along. You have a wonderfully big heart
and your love for our Trinity Caretakers is beautiful to behold,
yes. The universe is with you in your desires, but as you full
well know their techniques and planning are far better than
anyone else's. You would do well to release your expectations of
what you would like to see happen for the bigger and better plan
of what can really happen, yes. Well done, my son.
MEETING WITH ABRAHAM -- RESPONSIBLE CARE OF SELF JUNE 25, 2001
WOODS CROSS GROUP
I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. What an energy here this evening. I ask
you to harness it and redirect it to the ONE we all serve.
Pause. That's better. Thank you.
I realize living in today's world is stressful and still you are
so surprised at the animal within. You have your common
reactions to everyday life events and certainly at times it does
seem that you have not had any spiritual training. Have not
worry, nor let your hearts be troubled. Do not become
discouraged with what seems to be spiritual regression.
This mortal experience is meant to push you, to drive you toward
higher mindedness. Everyone has choices on how they will react
to stressful circumstances. You can lean toward an animalistic
rash reaction or draw from the well of spiritual higher
mindedness. Either is acceptable and always creating new
lessons. You know by now we are not perfect but strive for
perfection.
It has become simple to self-punish when the animal side is
shown, as if this will keep you in line. The more you
self-punish, the more you are disappointed in yourself and
discouraged, feeling as if you will never get it right. This all
leads to those feelings of unworthiness and 'why would Father
care for such an unruly child?'Here are your feelings of
orphanhood. Here are your feelings of utter aloneness in the
universe.
We are straying off the lesson of overcoming obstacles in the
Brotherhood a bit, but when you think about it, if you feel so
unworthy how can you possibly be connected in the family of God?
Living the mortal life naturally, instinctively, draws out those
imperfections within that need attention. This is shown to you
to give you drive towards greater things, not discouragement and
feelings of unworthiness.
When one feels so unworthy, inadequate and alone, one is likely
to neglect themselves, spiritually and physically. It is
difficult to draw upon spiritual power when you feel physically
ill. Do you see the mental or emotional focus causes physical
effects that complicates everything and really takes away the
joy of mortal living.
Always do we recommend you to stay connected to the Spirit
through stillness practice and prayer. This is a natural
antidote to animal tendencies. When faced with stressful events
use your words to describe how you are really feeling. Do not
assume anything without asking questions and attempting to view
the overall difficulty. A little understanding can diffuse any
stressful situation practically.
When the animal ego-self presents itself, do not punish yourself
but turn toward the Corrector Himself. Present your behavior to
Father. Tell Him of your feelings and reasoning behind your rash
actions. What do you believe a Father would say to a child who
is searching for answers and a better way, a higher minded way?
Certainly He would not punish you as you would yourself. He
would not discourage you or make you lose confidence in your
status as His child, no. He will show you a new and better way
to handle situations. He will encourage you to keep trying, for
you are His valued child who is in a state of becoming.
With all our imperfections, our First Source and Center, our
Upholder, our beloved Father, who knows all things, could not
possibly love us anymore even if we were perfect. Accept the
fact these animal tendencies will present themselves for you to
build spiritual muscles and learn self-mastery. Be not
discouraged by them but be challenged. Know that your Father is
right there in every moment, not condemning you but calling out
for you, "This way, my child."
Know that Father's children are quite sensitive and need to be
encouraged by their peers also. You can learn from Father and
not be condemning towards our fellows as if we were their judge,
but definitely can we describe to them our feelings, our hopes
for a new and better way, sure. Certainly can you show your
fellows a better way with encouraging words and sharing that you
truly understand them, for you have also had the same
experience.
This week strive for higher mindedness by not self-punishing but
searching. Do not allow the feelings of unworthiness to creep in
so as to cause mistreatment of self. You do understand these
feelings of unworthiness are a major cause for drug and alcohol
abuse among other forms of abuse. You can be firm with yourself
as long as it challenges you to do better. Do not leave yourself
with feelings of inadequacy and hopelessness that you will never
learn. You are indeed that of our Father's. You are the dwelling
place for His gift to us. Be responsible in the care of the
self. Yes.
That is all. No questions. Know that I am with more than you
know, as are Mother's angels and various universal helpers.
Please call on us. Know that we are with you. My love goes with

June 24, 2001
Tomas (Gerdean TR): Good morning, faithful flock. I am Tomas,
your friend, your longtime companion, and your cheerleader in
your efforts to take the gifts you have become aware of and turn
them into service to your fellows, as we are also under the
influence of the universal law that we pass on to others what we
have learned. This format may appear foreign to you who have not
been exposed to us in this way, but we are a fellowship of
family in the spirit that is a viable extension of Paradise, for
we are in service to Lord Michael and in harmony with the
ministering spirits that have been designed to help the
ascending sons in their paths. The light we bring is not a
blowtorch or floodlight but a steady glow. You discover this
illumination as you put one foot in front of the other in faith.
The demonstration of how the mortal and the divine walk together
was so beautifully illustrated in your session yesterday, for
this depiction of how the spirit leads lures you into advancing
is very much the technique we seek to duplicate as we urge you
to take what you know and gently urge your fellows into the line
of truth, such as you have been led to discover by your
knowledge of divinity. We seek to teach. We seek to teach not so
much academic information, as this abounds, but to convey a
reality, a real aspect of existence that is eternal and
enduring, that which has been born of the spirit and becomes
strengthened as a result of its faith-walk with spirit such that
your confidence grows, your reality grows, your effectiveness
grows, and your truth, beauty, and goodness grow in accordance
with those simple lessons that you allow yourself to be lured
into learning by those who have gone before you and have paved
the way, now reaching back to encourage you to come into the
presence of living love and to accept it as your own walk with
God.
What a joy it is to be your friend and associate and to watch
you come alive as lights becoming stronger and brighter. Indeed,
your lights are helping to bring about the dawn. The combined
lights of your association connect with your neighbors hither
and yon who are also in response to this dynamic circuitry of
personality pull toward home, toward Father, toward divinity.
Well, there are many, many here in attendance today, as many as
you would allow yourselves to recognize. I will thus ... hush.
Michael (Mark): There are, indeed, a great many here in
attendance at this time, and they are all here at my bidding, my
dear ones. They are here as gifts to you to aid in your
ascension, your understanding, your comprehension of the
patterns and principles you are learning day by day, hour by
hour. I would access this channel of communication to you at
this time as an illustration to you that I do so because this
channel is available to me, and I will use any and all channels
to present myself to you and those who I have instructed to be
about this task.
I desire to more fully come among you that you may know me more
fully and recognize my presence in your lives, as I am with you
always. I am not only there during your trials and your
struggles; I am with you to share your joy. I am with you to
share your love. I am with you that you may share me with
others. You are with me that we may seek and we may find all of
my children. Those who hear my words, those who feel my presence
indeed are my servants. You each minister to my children and,
whether or not you are always aware, you speak for me. This is
how I choose to manifest in this life. In your lives, with your
lives, through your lives I will touch others, and you all will
help me. You are my eyes to see, my ears to hear, my mouths to
speak. When there is a need for service it is you they will see,
my friends. It is you they will hear. It is through you that
they may come to know me, and I will find each one and bring
them into the flock. I will seek them out, and you will be my
foot soldiers. This is not a responsibility, a burden, to be
borne. This is a gift.
When working with me and spirit you are lifted up as these
circuits complete. Each time you are elevated nearer to me and
to the Father be not afraid to speak for me. Call on your
highest ideals and there I am. I will help you. I will minister
through you. We must work together. This is a privilege we both
share, my friends. This special liaison was designed by the
Father of all that we may both be lifted up, that we may all be
lifted up. This is a Paradise pattern that you are beginning to
perceive even at your very beginning existence. I assure you I
offer you my peace that this pattern pervades our beings, that
we must simply allow this pattern to exist.
I desire that you show all my children the joy and the love you
have come to know in coming to find me. Be not serious about
this task; be joyful. this is indeed a gift to be taken and a
gift to be given. So, let us let this dance of joy begin,
continue, proceed, and be directed to the Paradise Father where
we shall together stand in eternity in the embrace of the loving
Father of all and there receive the love and appreciation for
our efforts in bringing about this light and life.
There are others available to you, as you so desire. I withdraw,
but I never leave you, my dear ones. I am never far from you.
For now I leave you my peace and my joy.
Elyon (Gerdean): Greetings, this is Elyon, your resident
instructor and your long-term friend. How it pleases me to be
with you and to see how you reach for words to embrace one
another in the spirit. The spirit is truly the great
homogenizer, the mayonnaise, that holds you together, the thread
that consistently weaves the tapestry of the family of man and
God into a greater reality, the morontia reality, indeed.
(Question about how we can proclaim and live more fully the
religion of living spiritual experience without encumbering
ourselves with the religion of ...(inaudible)?
Elyon: Practice. The props of beliefs are purposive and they
have served humanity well in evolving up from the primitive
worship of nature and fear into the exalted realms of
recognition of those powers and personalities which present
themselves as patterns of perfection for you to follow. These
extensions of a greater reality are beyond words, beyond mortal
concept until such time as the aspiring mind seeks to formulate
a belief system around the concept they have attained in their
minds or hearts. This is how evolved religions grow, it's how
truth becomes crystallized. When you begin to take it and study
it, it has already lost much of its elan. This is even so
appropriate, for it provides an academic understanding of
beliefs and a record of the evolution of spirit reality. It is
what you might call scaffolding on the way to true worship.
Understanding what role beliefs play is a step into awareness of
how they have worked for you and also against you, for in these
concepts of beliefs there has been difference. Where there is
difference without enlightenment there is conflict and
competition. Thus in many ways the phrases and practices held
sacred by some are regarded as profane by others. So, to you who
inquire as to how to transcend these stumbling blocks into the
clear light of communion, you need to be mindful that what is
precious to you may be anathema to others.
In presenting instructions to teachers and believers you have
been counseled to always respect the personality of man. Many
times man believes that he is his belief system. Therefore when
you disregard or disrespect the belief system he or she
subscribes to, you have somehow caused offense and thus
alienated the brother you seek to embrace. So, being mindful of
your words is essential to a pure reflection of spirit reality.
As you make contact with the spirit of the other, as your spirit
engages the spirit of your brother, you have made a viable
connection that transcends words, that transcends belief
systems, that transcends dialogue. This language of love is the
door through which the Father Himself will speak to you both. As
you allow yourself to be led by this spirit, as you put yourself
in a position of giving yourself over to be the eyes and ears
and mouth of God, the words will be put in your mouth that will
not offend your brother but that will sound as music to his
soul. You will be received; your words will be received as food
and not as gall for them to stumble over. Thus, in the end the
language of spirit is the language you need to seek to speak,
not the language of man nor of beliefs nor even philosophies,
but that of love. It's a practice that is found by trial and
error as you offend your fellows without meaning to or as you
find yourself pondering your own words that you interject into a
communion that may abruptly alter the very molecules of the air
as that word falls as dead weight on an otherwise soaring
moment.
You would think by my response that I was insinuating you must
be careful of what you say as if you need to walk on eggs as you
travel your path and seek to enjoy in joy being among your
fellows. I tell you that the closer you are to living in the
spirit the more in joy you are and the less you need to worry
about what words you use, because they will be more and more an
emanation of that within you which you are automatically
becoming, because your nature is becoming more Godlike in your
efforts to be His instrument.
You introduce a topic of profound importance, for this is a
major stumbling block among those who are just starting out on
their paths. They have found a belief system, and they seek to
share their belief system. The doors are slammed shut in their
faces because they have not learned how to separate what they
believe from their faith, which is stirred because they have
found something in which to commit their belief. It's an arduous
process if you allow it to overrule your intent to share that
which has become your passion, your core reality, your driving
power, and your greatest need. As you sit in stillness and bond
with that reality within, you will gain in strength and in
courage in attempting to lead yourself into communion with
others that this might be shared, that the lights of others are
also illuminated by faith and by the spirit. As the light then
shines upon your association that light itself will eliminate
the shadows of misunderstanding and mere words which get in the
way of the communion you seek and find because of your shared
vision, your shared joy, your shared reflection of spirit.
I know it is hard for you word people, but it is also a fun
challenge. Perhaps this is why we occasionally make up new words
that can accommodate a nuance or a moment in which there are no
words to account for what you have just experienced or realized.
* Machiventa (Mark): This is Machiventa. I perceive that the
time draws short as the flesh grows weary. I would seize this
opportunity in this classroom which you have orchestrated for
this purpose to make some simple observations and to pose some
simple questions before we ring the bell and adjourn this
melchizedek classroom for recess.
I of my order and you of your order both greatly enjoy basking
in the glow of our sovereign, soaking in his love and light and
reveling in his joy. We also both would agree that with this
gift we receive we are then motivated to express this in ways
suitable in our environments. I of my order am inclined to be
the one to consider rolling up the sleeves and getting to work
in order to be about the expression of service which you have
come to learn is a necessary aspect of the receiving of this
Father's gift. So, I point out some factors for you to remember
as you go forward and are drawn to service like moths to a
flame.
Your order of being has a unique potential not even available to
my order of being and that is the exercise of your faith which
is your gift to the Father. This faith enables you to be more
than you are, to accomplish more than you could, to actualize
more than you fathom. I draw to your attention the examples you
are familiar with in your text of the incarnation where I
actually walked on your world and the impact of my visit and
draw your attention to my human charge Abraham who had what is
considered to be a far reaching impact. I point out to you : he
is no different than you who sit here today. I reference that
our sovereign, the Creator Son, who also walked on your world
started as a babe and again was no different from you who sit in
this room. Faith was not bestowed upon him differently than
faith has come to you. It was his exercise of faith which grew
this faith which we all agree has had a lasting impact on your
world. Then I draw attention to his human associates, his
apostles in the flesh who followed in his steps. They were no
different from you who sit in this room at this time. Each one
of them had the gift of the Father and grew their own faith in
accordance with their abilities. It was the combination of their
personalities and this faith which propelled their actions and
which subsequently impacted your world.
Throughout time human associates have been engaged with all
manner of assistance from the other side, and in each case the
ones to make a significant impact were just as you are in this
room. I encourage you to realize the tools that are before you,
to heed well the gifts brought to you by those on the other side
who would be of assistance as well as those of you, your
brothers and sisters who are more advanced, who have done
extracurricular activities and have prepared to be able to
minister to you in the flesh. Accept these gifts from these
brothers even in your midst. Accept the tools of all those
around you who would enable you to be more than you are. Realize
that you have at your beck and call more tools than did those
who came before you who impacted your world so greatly.
Now I pose the question: What stands in your way? What are the
obstacles which act as your stumbling blocks to impacting your
world? You have the teachings. You have the scriptures, the
writings, the tools, the messages. You have the experiences of
your brothers and sisters. You have Michael within you. There is
nothing that could stand before you and the actualization of
this destiny. It is merely for you to decide that these things
that are between you and your destiny are to be removed,
overcome, gone over, around, or through. It is up to you to
decide when this happens, how this happens. It is not a matter
of if this happens, for all these obstacles will be removed in
time, will be removed by the conscious, freewill choice acting
in faith. You may do it now. You may do it later. You may do it
here. You may do it there. You will do it. You decide, my
friends. When do we roll up our sleeves and get to work as my
melchizedek order is prone to do? I tell you it is upon all of
us. I, being of long duration, find myself waiting and
observing, much time elapsing and, not to alarm you but, your
time slips by. I will be here for the next wave, the next
generation, the next set of spiritual seekers just as you are
here now. I will minister to them faithfully as I will minister
to you. I have given you my word. The teachers have given you
their word. Michael has given you his word; he is in you.
Therefore, we have nothing holding us back. In reality there is
nothing holding us back.
So, that pep talk having been delivered I now choose to cut you
free. Ring the bell and adjourn this class for which I and the
others are so grateful that you all attend.
Rob: As you know I am cut free by Michael to minister around the
world his gospel. I am aware of that privilege and the
opportunity to minister his will, the Mother Spirit's and even
your will as a senior in the ministerial team on the planet. Can
you outline five things I could add to my ministry for Urantia
readers and for the global population that would meet your
needs?
Machiventa: My dear friend, I am in awe. I register your
question, but, my friend, I would hesitate to alter your course,
because your course has come to you from a very sacred place of
your faith and your trust in Michael. I see no imperfection in
your plan. I see nothing lacking in your course. I see nothing
you need to be any more effective than you are. I hesitate to
imply by giving you any specifics that there is anything at
fault, anything missing in your ministry. You indeed are a
shining example of potential maximized in the flesh. To the very
limits of your understanding and your ability you have opened
and stretched your faith wings, and you are acting on what you
understand and know about the Father and His desire for you. I
do not want to get in the way of that communion between you and
your Father. I offer you all the words of encouragement and
support I can provide. I even pledge to you that I will aid in
your ministry in whatever fashion I may be of service to you, my
friend. But you are one of us, and you are in no need of
redirection or reinterpretation Only expression lies before you,
only fruition is beyond you. It, to us and to your own spiritual
development, is rather insignificant whether your ministry
occurs here or there or in this fashion or that manner or with
these words or those phrases. What is important to us is that
you act, and when your foot is raised and in motion then we are
there to help you guide it and put it down. You are one who does
not hesitate to raise his foot for the next step and seek
guidance for where it should land. The guidance comes from on
high and is in no need of revision from one of my order.
Rob: I certainly can. Thank you. I love you very much.
Machiventa: Please accept the gratitude of the entire corps of
melchizedeks for those of your order such as yourselves who
reach out and emulate Paradise pattern to the very limits of
your capabilities. We could ask no more.Michael could ask no
more. The Father expects no more. Yet you will give us more; you
will give Michael more. It is truly inspiring for one of my
order to behold one of you acting in such faith, because this
faith has been developed from nothing. This faith has come from
you inside. I was created without the need for faith. You have
had to develop this faith out of darkness. To see your faith
elevated to such a level in your only beginning existence is
truly miraculous. I give glory to God in the highest when I
observe this. Thank you. Thank you all for the exercise of your
faith. It is truly inspiring to all of us who stand around and
beside and with you through this career. I am humbled by what I

Elyon (Jonathan TR): My dear friends, this is Elyon. Happy am I
to be in your presence as always to make this contact, to
continue our progress as a group who are dedicated to Michael,
who are forward looking, who wish to not only drink deeply from
the living water but also to share that water with others who
thirst.
I wish to speak on truth and revelation and to borrow the
phrase, that truth is always a revelation. It is quite natural
to define truth as an understanding, informational in nature,
knowledge based, something to gauge verifiability; reality as
contrasted with falsehood, things unreal. Truth is revelation.
Revelation is truth; it is the dynamics, the transfer, that is
truth.
When Michael said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life", the
way is a path that implies progress. Life is dynamic. Without
vitality in a static state there is no life. Truth is very much
like these two. Awakening to revelation is the experiencing of
truth which is composed of secondary elements such as knowledge,
experience, wisdom, faith, and trust .... one sees more
particularly the secondary elements. There is understanding;
there is clarity, but the seeing is the truth. That is the
dynamic. Truth in motion is revelation to the human personality.
A body of facts will never be equivalent to truth because facts
by nature are static. This is why we stress the stillness, for
it is a dynamic relationship with our Father. This is why
Michael has asked us all to go forth and proclaim the gospel,
because our reach to another is the revelation of truth; it is
truth revealed. It is true revelation.
We have spoken in the past about you being an everlasting
fountain of spirit that can pour forth into your life and touch
the lives of others. The search for truth is best undertaken
from this internal vantage point. As you piece together your
understanding of life, your position in it, as you accumulate
knowledge that bears upon you from the outer world, your
interaction is the dynamics of truth in motion. Truth has the
nature of coalescing, of bringing many elements into a
clarified, perceivable, understandable, and experiencible state.
When the master said that the kingdom of heaven cannot be hid
under a basket he was pointing to this flowing dynamic of truth,
and that it is by nature revealing. Truth literally cannot be
compressed or contained. It is expansive. The fine line between
revelation and truth is the recognition in human experience.
Truth ever and always is. As long as there are two personalities
in the universe that interact, there is truth. Revelation is the
recognition of that presence.
Truth is manifold and singular at the same time. It is manifold
in the aspect that the personality through growth encounters
repeated gradations of revelation. But each revelatory
experience is an encounter with that singular truth, the vital
dynamic of living relationship with God and created reality.
When Michael spoke that if you drink of his living water you
will never thirst again implies that his truth is ever-present.
No matter how much you exert yourself spiritually to grow, that
truth will be there always quenching your thirst. Each time you
drink you experience revelation. The water has not changed. The
cup may be different. The time of day may be different. Truth
is, the experience of truth is, revelation. The components that
a human being can grasp of truth entail such things as facts and
knowledge and wisdom and faith and trust. These are more
tangible to the human mind than is truth. All together bring
about spiritual experience and expanded wisdom.
I have used my allotted time and will make room for others and
allow for your input, as well.
Harold: Is there a difference between revelation and
inspiration?
Elyon: Revelation can occur when the human mind is unprepared.
It can flash before the eyes of the soul and be startling,
though it is not necessarily a requirement that this occur for
it to be revelation. Inspiration combines human input with the
divine embrace. It requires willingness, engagement of the
personality, the acceptance of the motivation. There is a
responsive element from the human being that entails an
inspirational episode. Truth is everywhere present. Revelation
can occur but will not be fulfilled until recognized, and that
is the recognition of truth. But inspiration never hovers before
you undetected. It is something you are well aware of from its
onset. Does this help?
Harold: Yes, thank you.
Abraham: Greetings to all of you, this is Abraham. I am
welcoming all who come to our region to partake in the
fellowship of another gathering of like souls. I anxiously await
the arrival of those who can attend and also give my love and
embrace to everyone, whether you gather with us or undertake
your other activities. We in this mission are engaged to be of
service to Michael and Machiventa. Though at times such as this
upcoming gathering we get together to celebrate, it does not
matter where upon this globe you are stationed, we are all in
one congregation working for Michael. I salute your work.
Harold: What part should ritual take in organizational
gatherings like the one we are going to? Since Jesus did
facilitate this for the original church, are there any
suggestions we can be doing?
Elyon: Ritual is to the group what habit is to the individual.
It establishes pattern which is beneficial, and it also can
encourage stagnation if either an individual or an organization
is not keen upon amending and evolving habit or ritual to better
satisfy the progressing needs of either. Good ritual is like
good habits. They are beneficial. Sometimes a habit must be
trained into an individual by another as is the case when a
parent teaches a child, but a habit is something that is only
real when it is self chosen, when it is self possessed.
Otherwise it is a command or a demand. Ritual likewise must be
self possessed, in some way valued or cherished for it to be
effective. It cannot be a legislative procedure required of an
organization or a congregation. Therefore creativity is a
necessary factor for discerning or discovering ritual methods,
techniques, which will be uplifting, that will be encouraging
and inspiring.
Jesus left the ritual of a common meal, sharing in the bread and
the wine with a context of fellowship with him. He knew his
apostles would experience great loss in his absence which was to
occur in only a few days. Their human association sitting at a
meal was about to be transformed into a creature to creator
association, the communion of worship. Ritual to be of value to
the soul must entail this element of contact with the divine or
at least the encouragement of the reach to the divine. It was
convenient at the time and in the culture for Michael to select
the meal, the Passover. It was a gathering that had a religious
context, and it was the last event they were to do together
privately and organized. Those elements can be incorporated into
new ritual, its relevance to the individual, the personal
intimacy, that friendship element, fellowship element, and the
context of spiritual contact.
Does this provide means for you to pursue?
Harold: Yes, good thoughts.
Olfana (Ginny): I have a few words about inspiration and ritual.
I am Olfana. When you allow yourself to be inspired by a great
thought or a revelation or an action you may perform, if it is
spirit filled, if it is God filled, if it is love filled, if it
is service filled then the natural tendency is movement, action.
If you look at persons whom you consider spirit filled, you will
notice their composure, their stature, their bodily
accouterments that speak to you. The natural result of a love
filled thought is action. Think of a time when you were sitting
and being quiet or just doing your everyday routine, and you had
an inspiration. What did you do? What happens to your body?
Generally there is movement, an upliftment of the structure, an
opening of the eyes, a reaching out with your hands, taking
steps to fulfill the inspired thought. Many of you have these
moments but you do not follow through every time with the
outward movements. Study persons who are in a state of
inspiration that is not phony and is not accidental. The spirit
is uplifting. Bodily motions are simply an overflow of love and
joy and excitement over an inspired thought or a revelation.
I would encourage you in your daily lives to practice small ways
of using your bodies more, using your breath, your eyes, your
hands, and your feet. Practice in little ways even jumping up
and down, doing a dance. These are all natural outpourings of
love. If you are truly spirit filled and it is truly a pure and
personal love, you will never be embarrassed. In your culture
there is some sort of stigma about people who jump around and
dance and act weird as if motion and activity is somehow not
dignified. You will never wonder what to do with yourself when
you are spirit filled. It will overflow.
So, I encourage all of you to stand now and use your bodies in
any way that gives some sort of relief to your spirits. I leave
you with this little assignment to move more, to celebrate with
our your vehicle more any time you have an inspired thought.

Teacher: Daniel - Events and Attitudes and beyond ...

Prayer by Virginia: Father: we pray that you would help us to
use those things we hear to make us better people and to be able
to serve and love all of our brothers and sisters. Amen.
Daniel (Bill/Isaac): Greetings, my friends: this is Daniel, your
teacher, your guide, your staunch supporter and great admirer.
We spoke last week about a metaphor that I have used for years
dealing with the waves, the uncertainties and the vicissitudes
of life; and I reminded you that you cannot always second guess
what the meaning of those events may be for you. The event, in
itself, is not objective in meaning, but is totally conditioned
by the responses of the people involved in that event. To one
person a rainy day is a calamity, spoiling the picnic planned;
raining-out the baseball game that their children were playing
in. But to another person that rain is the welcome relief from
the drought; is the opportunity to stay inside and read a book
instead of watering the lawn by hand. To yet another person,
that is dependent upon rain for dry-farming, rain is not merely
convenient and pleasant, but crucial. This is, of course, a very
puerile illustration, not very profound, but it illustrates the
point that events in themselves have no meaning apart from those
whom they effect.
I stress this because it is the habit of mortals, especially on
a planet like this one, to attribute to the event itself innate
meanings. Isaac is allowing me to illustrate with a pet-peeve of
his which is wind, for to Isaac wind is annoying! It disrupts
the little bit of hair that remains on his head. [Laughter.] It
dries his skin. It takes things out of his hands when he is
trying to do small work. It roars in his ears adding to his
tinnitis, and represents a basic unpleasantness, at least it
does so when it is strong enough. But, you see, the wind is
essential for the functioning of this planet, for if there were
no wind the trees could not reproduce themselves. If there was
not wind to assist in the evaporation of water, then the cloud
formations would be diminished. If there was not wind the birds
could not fly as easily, and soar on the thermals and other
types of wind. If there was not wind then the windmills would
not turn and produce power. If there was not wind then the
sailboats would malfunction and be in a dead-calm, and so forth
and so on.
When you stub your toe on some object and curse the object, this
is indicative that you are giving that object meaning which it
does not have. It did not place itself in your way. You simply
were unobservant of its presence. Because all events only have
the meanings that you ascribe to them, then the means of
handling the ups and downs of life, as we call it, falls totally
in your hands. The secret to a life of balance and stability
does not consist in having a bed of roses. The secret is
learning to ascribe the proper meaning to the events that come
your way.
What we teachers have been doing with you people these nearly
ten years duration is helping you to enlarge the landscape
device; to increase the size of your painting space; to broaden
the confines of your thinking. It is, however, impossible to get
"out of the box". This is erroneous. What needs to happen is for
the walls of the box to be expanded. You will never get out of
your box for you cannot suddenly divorce yourself from your
past, but you can indeed expand the boundaries of your
perception and interpretation. In order to do this, though, you
need to be disabused of the notion that things carry meanings in
themselves. This is why I making a special point of this
tonight.
If you are struggling with stress, this tells you that the
source of your problem is not in the events themselves, but in
how your are interpreting what they mean to you.
Now I understand that none of this is brand new information.
These ideas have been discussed before by us in the Teaching
Mission and even by some of your wiser, learned men and women.
But these concepts are important because they are the key to
moving from a life full of stress, anxiety, anger, depression,
guilt, blameÑthe poisons of the spirit, to a life where the
fruits of the spirit are manifest. Last week we talked about the
sorts of lives that can be lived, the life of self-direction and
self-will, and the life of faith in the over-care of God. This
is where these meanings can move from one arena to another. If
you are living the life of self-will you are saying basically
Ômy will be done,' then you will struggle with the events that
come to you as it will be your intention to gain control over
everything, which can lead to the insanity that I mentioned last
week. But if you choose rather to say Ôit is my will that your
will be done,' then the events that come to you, (and I include
people in the concept of events), then the events that come to
you are not challenges to control. They are gifts for learning.
They are gifts for giving and receiving love.
You are born 100% animal. It is not until you have been under
the administration of the Adjutant Spirits that you are ready to
make a moral decision so that the invasion of Spirit can occur.
You will never lose your animal nature until you complete the
mortal career, and even then it remains to be gradually
transcended in the morontial existence for morontial is a blend
of material and spiritual. However, you have begun your
morontial experience at the point of the birth of soul, which
also occurred simultaneously with the arrival of Spirit in your
life, and so your are mortal beings and morontial beings both.
This is information that many, many people do not know, and if
they hear it unprepared, would reject out-of-hand.
My words are not given to give you the impression that you can
suddenly move from the self-life to the Spirit lead life in one
gigantic leap. If you were fully in the Spirit mode, you would
all be translated! On planets in Light and Life where people
live three to seven hundred years, there is time sufficient in
the mortal life span to actually achieve that commitment which
results in translation; but on this planet it is very rare, for
your days are short. Therefor, be patient with yourselves.
You are created animal beings. This is not as the Greeks
thought, the doing of the demons. Oh no. This is the Paradise
pattern reproduced in time and space by none other than Joshua
Ben Joseph, as you know him, your Creator Son, in consort with
Nebadonia, the Local Universe Mother Spirit. You are good in
your animal nature, but capable of mistakes. You are good in
your divine nature and capable of achieving perfection. When
those two are in cooperation, and upon fusion, you will be
forever sealed to that destiny.
Now, this is going to sound so predictable. How does one reframe
the meaning they give to events so they can let go of the stress
and the Spirit poisons, and copeÑno, transform themselves in the
process? The answer is again, inhale, exhale. Inhale the
stillness. Exhale the service; and you must do both. Not just
inhale and not just exhale, for only stillness without service
is stagnation. Only service without stillness is depletion.
You are together tonight as free-will creatures. Nobody has
forced you to come to this gathering. You love to fraternize
with each other, and you love to fraternize with us who you feel
with your spiritual antenna, but seldom see with material eyes,
viz., your older brothers and sisters including me. In this
connection fellowship becomes both intake and output, both
inhale and exhale. You fellowship with each other as you
fellowship with God in stillness. You are experiencing the
uplift, which is of the same nature as occurs during your
one-on-one time with God. Yet you serve each other in various
ways: as you share your ideas; as you discussÑargue perhaps. You
serve each other by your joyfulness, by your pleasure with each
other's company.
Last week I urged you to throw off the muddy clothing that is
holding you back, the cultural conditioning, the negativity of
unbelief, of skepticism, of ridicule towards the things of the
Spirit, and take a good shower of God's love, and put on lighter
clothing. I know that you all desire to do this, and I know that
you will all succeed. I have concluded my comments. Are there
questions or comments?
Virginia: Daniel, I am assuming that the coming of the Thought
Adjuster is your reference to us identifying with Spirit. I
think that was your word, and that also was the beginning of the
soul, but I think the Spirit part is so much later for us. Am I
correct or am I confused?
Daniel (Bill): The Spirit part that you may be referring to
Virginia, is the recognition of the presence of Spirit in your
life. Many people, especially in Christianity, have been taugh,
that the time of recognition is the actual time of arrival; but
the Thought Adjuster arrives upon completion of the first moral
decision of the growing child which does average in the fifth
year on this planet at this time. Upon the arrival of the
Thought Adjuster, which is totally unconscious to the child,
then the soul begins to develop. The awareness of the presence
of Spirit, however, is generally not found to occur before the
arrival of early teenage years. Does this answer your question?
Virginia: Yes, thank you.
Ken: Daniel, how are you this evening?
Daniel (Bill): I am very much at peace, my friend, and very
excited to be in the presence of you all who are such cherished
companions.
Ken: Thank you. It has been mentioned in our classes before that
we are becoming morontial. Tonight you have talked of Spirit. Is
there a morontial Spirit that comes to us as we progress towards
Light and Life?
Daniel (Bill): Morontial is that term that is a mixture of
material and spiritual. It is that reality dimension that
intercedes or intervenes between the purely spiritual and the
purely physical existence. It is not a morontial Spirit because,
as I said, it is a blend of spiritual and material, but it
begins with the birth of the soul. This begins for most people
in their fifth year of life.. The morontial experience is a
constant changing ratio of material to spiritual. When you begin
your morontial career at five and a half years old you are 99.9%
animal/physical, and one tiny little fragment of the Thought
Adjuster as it relates to the composition of your soul. But as
you grow the ratio changes so that the more there is that is
spiritual the less there is that is material, and vice versa. By
the time that you reach the Mansion Worlds for those of you who
are making great spiritual growth in the mortal life, your ratio
might be well past 50-50 with more spiritual than material. And
at the end of your morontial career when your finally graduate
from the Local Universe and head on to the Superuniverse career,
you are fully Spirit, no longer morontial, for the ratio has
come down to 99.9% spiritual and 0.1% material, if you
understand this meaning.
Ken: Yes.
Daniel (Bill):Then in the spiritual career from that point on to
Paradise you grow in Spirit, but it isn't the same thing as the
ratio changing of the morontial career. This is the evolution of
the soul, beginning with the first moral decision; and that soul
surviving mortal death brings you then to the next life.
Consequently when the human mind and the Indwelling Spirit have
reached total commitment, perfect alignment, then there is
fusion. From that point on there is never any doubt about the
outcome of that career.
Ken: The box just keeps getting bigger and bigger, infinitely
bigger.
Daniel (Bill): Yes, the intellectual box has no limitations.
Even the Paradise Finaliters have not reached their limits, but
in fact stand on the very door step of the most incredible
adventure. None of us is 100% sure of the meaning of this, but
those people whom I visit with from Paradise, those Finaliters
are even more enthusiastic and excited by far than I am; and I
am more enthusiastic and excited than you all are; and you are
more enthusiastic and excited than the majority of your
associates.
Lori: Daniel, does fusion only occur, or most occur, after our
mortal life here?
Daniel (Bill): On this planet, yes. On planets that are more
advanced where people live longer lives, the ratio of fusion to
natural death changes. In fact, on advanced planets up to half
of the inhabitants do not experience natural death. My planet
was quite advanced in Light and Life, and about 37% of the
inhabitants were fused before death. They were transferred
directly to the Mansion Worlds. I, however, did die the mortal
death, which is the rule of thumb here. Part of the reason is
that no one lives long enough on this planet to get enough
wisdom to achieve fusion. There have been exceptions and they
lived a long time ago, the ones that are known to you in your
records. [Editor: He may be referring to the accounts in the
Bible of Enoch and Elijah.] And there are people today who are
being fused, but I am not a liberty to discuss that.
Lori: Well, now I am trying to tie it all together with the box
and service and the gifts. So as I understand it, if we can
expand our box and lift the values or importance we put on
people and situations, that in my personal case I usually drag
up from the past, am I to understand that there are gifts in
each situation with each person, if I can only lift the veil
long enough to see them, and I can begin to lift the veil
through service and stillness?
Daniel (Bill): I admire your mind for you are attempting right
now to integrate everything that I said by way of illustration
and by synthesizing. The answer to your question is essentially,
yes. The box was a reference to enlarging your interpretation of
the meaning of events. Sometimes the personal meaning doesn't
change. The party which you were planning to go to, which was
relying upon sunny weather, will be canceled by the rain.
Enlarging the box would be understanding that there are a lot of
other meanings that can be attributed to the rain besides your
own personal disappointment. While it has been disparagingly
referred to as rationalizing, it is still helpful to remember
that "one man's garbage is another man's treasure", that the
rain does have very important value to other people.
Now as to receiving the gift, say from an unpleasant encounter
with another person, this becomes much more difficult, because
it seems that inherent in this conflict is nothing but
negativity! It is true that this was the hardest thing that
Jesus dealt with when he was trying to teach his disciples how
they should respond to events that appear to be inherently
negative. Of course, you know what he taught. He taught that you
should not respond to that event with a negative response. He
also taught that you should not lay down and be walked upon by
that evil situation, but rather that you should do something
positive, if nothing more that of your own free-will offering to
do what the other person was trying to force you to do, in order
to overcome the evil with good. In saying, "overcoming evil with
good", I am, of course, generalizing. You are receiving the gift
of soul growth, for that does result in the slight change in the
balance of the spiritual and the material.
As to exactly what to do and how to do it, that is for each
individual to struggle and find out on their own, because it is
in the struggling and the deciding that you gain soul growth.
Doing what somebody else advises you to do may, in fact, be a
wise thing, but not if it is done without any processing,
thinking and understanding. Then it is merely obedience. You may
luck out and obey the better advice, but the best thing is to
process and make those decisions yourself. Does this further
muddy the water?
Lori: No, it's just as I've always said, "it's the process, not
the product". And that is a pretty universal thing, as I am
finding out. It is just that it's not that hard for me to make
lemonade out of lemons, or change my plans when it comes to
nature. It's usually, where I get hung up, in expanding my box
is with people, and the situations that occur over and over with
people you have negative history with. And so you can try really
hard, but I guess it is important to know there is soul growth
from trying.
Daniel (Bill): We have discussed this before. It is also your
choice to decide when to stop interacting with people who are
negative. Even Jesus did not bang his head against a wall. He
did not curry the favor of men or women. He was able to discern
when there was the possibility of progress in a relationship,
and if he knew there was no possibility, he cut it off. For
example, there are several events in his life I could refer to,
but I am thinking of the temple discourse on Tuesday of Holy
Week when he gave his enemies one more chance to change their
minds. It was clear to him after a few minutes of speaking that
by the looks on their faces, their motions and their mumblings,
that they were not going to change their minds, but they were
going to pursue his death; at which point he shifted gears to a
straight forward statement of how it was, and referred to them
in pretty strong language: a nest of vipers, white-washed tombs,
etc., etc. He did not say this because he suddenly hated those
people. He still loved them; but he was calling attention to
their hypocritical behavior, you see. In the final sentence of
his address to them he said words to the effect that he was
leaving them desolate.
Now we are not the Master, and our judgement is not as good as
his. Therefor I am not suggesting that we start making
presumptive judgements about the impossibility of making
progress; but I am suggesting that this is a choice that we all
have, that at least for now I am making no progress with this
person. Whatever I do is rejected, is misunderstood, causes
conflict. I choose therefor to put it aside, and wait on the
future. Perhaps that person will change their mind, or perhaps I
will change mine, you see.
Lori: Yes, thank you for your patience.
Virginia: Daniel, is it then possible to say that the very
positive reaction is some situations is just to walk away?
Daniel (Bill): Yes, it is, for to stay there and continue to be
abused and become upset and angry is not positive. I just
caution you not to take my words as an easy out, to not do the
hard work that is necessary in relationships. Well, my friends,
my TR has limitations tonight and is requesting that we
conclude. I will honor one more burning question, however, if
there is one.
Virginia: Daniel, I do have one, and it has to do with
relationships. Frankly I both fear and hope that if
relationships are not settled here on this plane that there will
be given amply opportunity to understand one another and forgive
one another on Mansion Worlds. You know, I think of the verse in
the Bible that says "we will know even as we are known" and that
I guess that I just want you to say "Yeah, yeah, we will get
another chance" if we don't get things solved on this planet.
Daniel (Bill): You will be given more time beyond this life, as
you know. There is no guarantee that relationships that were
difficult here are automatically going to be corrected for it
"takes two to tango" and many more people decide against
continuing the ascension career after mortal death than before
it. I am not saying that large numbers dessert the heavenly
quest, but it has happened that some people cannot, will not,
when they find they have more time to progress, decide to
continue. So therefor, it may be, that, if you have say a
specific person that you have not resolved things with, that in
the next life you make the attempt again, and they most likely,
now given all this time and that there is no excuse that can be
put up to postpone it, will force them to confront this. Do you
understand what I am saying? There is not a guarantee that your
willingness to work things out will always be characteristic of
the other person.
Virginia: Thank you, Daniel. That is certainly is a realistic
opinion, obviously.
Daniel (Bill): There is no automatic fix, you see. Free-will is
always involved. The great majority do progress.
Virginia: I guess that I am thinking that if you survive the
resurrection, why in the heck don't you keep on going to working
on what we need to work on. [Laughter.]
Daniel (Bill): Because the work is more difficult. There is no
means of procrastination., or making excuses. There are no
diversionary options.
Virginia: There is no television. [Laughter.] Thank you, Daniel.
Daniel (Bill): As you say, “not to worry,' about the next life.
It will take care of itself. This one is the one that you are
fully invested in now. Well, my friends, I have heard the ring.
[Laughter because a phone rang.] It signalizes the completion of
our time together. I would ask you all to stand and hold hands.

MEETING WITH ABRAHAM -- PHASE TWO JULY 9, 2001 WOODS CROSS GROUP
I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I so enjoyed your discussion this
evening. It was nice to hear you discuss something else besides
the Conference. This everyday living reality is what we have
spoke about so many times before.
Our Mission is about finding those reserves to draw from a
spiritual account in a practical way, a way that suits the human
and the divine. I breathe a sigh of relief, for we have put our
best foot forward, and now we leave the results in Father's
hands. I can say every individual received exactly what they put
into the Conference gathering. I trust that most will have those
spiritual reserves on hand for some time to come.
I have been assigned the somewhat controversial task of
reiterating the basis from which this Teaching Mission stems. I
am speaking about the Urantia Book. This Book is our compass in
the sea of everything. Many ideas will come and go, and you can
always measure these ideas with the Book. The Book is a solid
directional guide even though it may contain some material that
seems farfetched. Nevertheless it is a lighthouse that leads us
to the shores of balance.
Next to this Book we have our beloved Father Fragments providing
for us ever new and updated information. In the days ahead we
would do well to ponder our closeness with the beloved
Indwelling Fragment that is ever showing us a new and better
way. The communication with our Fragments is becoming more
simple to understand since the planet has been reincircuited
into the fold of Nebadon.
Do not make the mistake of putting these Father Fragments on a
mystical pedestal, because this leads to over-indulgence in
self-aggrandizement. Become used to thinking of them as the
better part of yourself, your higher mind, your revelatory
provider. These Mystery Monitors are the gatekeepers to all that
holds meanings and values. Allow them to work and notice your
new sense of balance and confidence to be at home in the world.
Those wonderful Fragments are a safety measure to weed out
non-reality while correlating information that will serve you
well, and last I would say a few words on living revelation.
Down through the ages you can see how the basic goodness of all
religions have taken hold. They have not gone away. Those things
that are really true will be lasting. There is always a great
deal of excitement created around certain theories, but when
they lose the momentum of the peoples faith they go by the
wayside. As you mature in Spirit you find you need not give
faith energy over to just anything. You can always count on your
Indwelling Fragments to keep you up to date with universe
happenings. You can know their ministries more mentally than
emotionally.
In course of choosing from the banquet table the Adjusters can
certainly lead you to those dishes of nutrition, and what might
not always look appetizing to you may be with more spiritual
sustenance according to the Indweller. You can measure living
revelation with your understanding of becoming more selfless.
What feels good and true may be food for the ego, not
necessarily for the soul.
Have confidence, my friends, your Indwelling Father goes before
you. He has sampled everything and is a helpmate, not one who is
waiting for you to make a mistake so He can chastise you. Ponder
these things this week, my friends, for we are at the beginning
of phase two of the Mission. Let us rally our faith, filter out
the falsities and check our foundation for cracks. This phase
will be the building. I would not receive questions this
evening, but would love to leave you with some heightened energy
reserves by praying for you.
Our Father, our Son, our Mother, I humbly come before you on
behalf of my Mission fellows. There has been a great expense of
energy as of late, and I in my love for them, beseech you to
rain down upon them your everlasting love and comfort. Aid them
in their integration of all they have learned this week-end.
Bring balance to imbalance. Bring clarity to cloudiness. You
know as I do that their underlying motivation was out of love
for you. We know that. We know that you know their expense in
Spirit was great and we ask you for that Spirit energy that only
you can provide.
I speak on their behalf that if there was ever need again for
such energy expense, my friends here would not hesitate to once
again do all they could for you. I thank you, my Father, the
Father of all father's. I thank you Michael, for we could not
want for a closer Brother/Friend. I thank you Mother for your
grace and example of service without glory. Know that our

TOMAS: Good afternoon, fishers of men.
We are here with you in grateful acknowledgment of the growth of
our movement, our spiritual reality, the conviction of faith
wrought by your association with like-minded believers. The
strength of your community is like a nebulae swirling in space.
When the holy finger reached forth and stirred the air, all
matter therein was activated and set in motion. Once this motion
became actualized, it resulted in the formation of your world
and many other worlds of potential in time and space.
Thus the holy finger reached out and stirred the air bringing
the potential to Urantia that we see realizing itself today in
the formation today of the solid substance of your loyalty to
that which is becoming real in a spiritual sense and which will
have permanent effects on Urantia as well as in your own souls.
This creative force is brought to you by those power directors
which
provide the centrifugal force that throws off that which is
unnecessary and the centripetal force which forces together
those which can join compatibly as the basis of the world that
you are creating.
That which will be throw off will be thrown off will be thrown
off because it is not intended to be a part of the becoming.
Those of you who are forced together by this cosmic centripetal
force are often in a place where you are
unsure of how you connect with that piece or those pieces which
you rub against. And sometimes you say, "I'm not going to stay
here where there is friction against me," "I'm not going to stay
here where there is something poking me," "I'm not going to stay
here where I have to listen to that." "I
am irritated and uncomfortable by that which is rubbing me the
wrong way," but the cosmic centripetal force keeps you in check
and in time it will come to pass that the rough edges will be
worn down and the homogeneity of spirit will compose you such
that you merge well with that which surrounds you.
This gives credence, over a period of time, over that force
which connects you, even when you feel disconnected and would
prefer that some of the pieces abutting you would go wafting off
into outer space. But look at those with whom you have found
your niche. Recognize the easy flow of communion, humor, and
compassion that flashes back and forth between you, that
connects you, that helps you recognize that you are all part of
that circuit that keeps you together. That circuit is enlarging
daily. The rough edges that you encounter, the elbows that dig
into your side and the irritating noises that sound inharmonious
to your ear, only indicate adjustments necessary in order for
the parts to fit within the whole. You are indeed creating a
world, a world of spiritual reality, and in the cosmic sense,
the solidifying of your faith and your friendship is as enduring
and more so that the very ground you walk upon.
We were joyed to participate this past weekend in the stirring,
in the cooling and the congealing of the swirling energies that
comprise this far-flung community. Like pudding in a pot, we all
came together, mortal and supernal, and allowed ourselves to be
subjected to the heat that brought us to a boil and that
softened our edges so that we were able to harmonize with each
other in celebration of this sweet delight of our community. All
of us have come away, now, with a sense of rejuvenation and
re-application to our purpose, our united purpose to advance
Urantia and its citizens in the concepts of cosmic citizenry in
the loving universe that we enjoy.
There were uncomfortable moments, there were irritating noises,
and elbows poked in your sides. There were concepts that grated
your nerves and personalities that jangled your complacency, but
we advance in good faith.
Is there anything I can help you with now in terms of modulating
your pitch to appreciate the harmonics of our movement? Are
there questions?
THOROAH: Personally I love the harmonics. I don't know that I
have any questions as regards the Conference.
TOMAS: You are amiable and malleable. Your mind has set off in
the direction of antiquities and a study of racial origins. You
see how we all begin to feather our nests with that which is
essential to our comfort, our instincts, and our civilization -
that being our personal civilization.
THOROAH: Well, I have lots of questions as far as origins.
TOMAS: Perhaps I can shed some light; perhaps not. What do you
seek to know?
THOROAH: A case in point would be the reference in the Urantia
Book to the Nephilim -- who are referred to as the Nodites,
parenthetically, one time, in the Urantia Book -- and I'm also
reading about the Nephilim in other sources. They were a
recognized race, I guess I could say anthropologically as well
as speculatively -- as being from someplace else, their origins
being someplace else in the universe, such as another evolving
race or another world, but specifically I'm thinking of the
Anunnaki, the Nibiruans, and the
Nephilim who are said to be the same race, which makes the
Nodites unique and it captured my interest. I'm wondering about
our off-world origins. I know that with the Prince's staff that
there were obviously off-world influences on our human race. The
Urantia Book does not go into detail as to where that staff came
from and so I guess that's the mystery that I'm looking at right
now.
TOMAS: Well, you will not be surprised to learn that I am not
authorized to discuss that element of your planetary history.
However, I am not going to discourage your investigations
either. The descendants of Nod indeed presented a race of people
that were infused with the genetic influence of a life form not
originating on Urantia and while their progeny are certainly a
part of your composition, it remains true that your essential
ancestors are well known throughout the universe as Andon and
Fonta, the first two human beings to have been indwelt by a
fragment of God and they were your true ancestors although the
influence of the Planetary Prince's staff did affect a strain of
genetic lineage which has been amalgamated into the basic
evolutionary strains originating in the life pattern as was
planted here by the Life Carriers so many millennia ago.
A study of the blending of the races, dispersion of the races,
has much to offer in terms of under-standing much of your
planetary history, its development/ evolution as creatures
ascending/ evolving into beings capable of self-mastery and yet
none of their influences are so dominant as to interfere with
your own personal repleteness as a man among men.
THOROAH: That's why I was rather hesitant to bring it up because
it really has more to do with research and curiosity than it
does with spiritual growth and ministry.
TOMAS: Yes, indeed, which is why I won't spend overmuch time
there except to offer that the pages of the revelation provide
great stimuli for thought. And if studied with an open mind, can
provide you with many insights to contribute to the
understanding of those who have developed theories along the
lines you mentioned in such a way as to augment their theories
by revelation; thus the overall history of the planet is
gradually refined and understood from a broader perspective and
your peoples become interwoven again in and through the spirit
fibers that create the tapestry of humanity.
Honest intellectual study is a good expansion of consciousness
in that it will honor the efforts of those who have before
studied and presented information, be it true or false or
speculative. If you were in fact to regard your contemporaries
with the fascination and intrigue that you give your
forebearers, you would get along much better and find far more
delight in each other. Every one brings something to the table.
Rather than say, "Well, I've never partaken of that before; I
don't think I'll have any," expand your palate and accept the
offering and having chewed and savored the morsel you will be
able to better determine whether or not it is nutritious for
you.
At any rate it may give you a better understanding of your
neighbor and a greater tolerance of human differences, cultural
differences, even religious
differences, which can give rise to theologic discussions that
enhance and enlarge and further the minds' appreciation of how
great an extent humanity has gone to grasp deity and how
mysteriously deity works in the minds of humanity in introducing
itself in ways that can be understood or utilized in
the march toward enlightenment and subsequent loving service.
Yes, Paulo is here and he has received a question about Lucifer
that he is willing to take on. One moment, please.
PAULO: Paulo here. Good afternoon, my friends. It's good to be
with you in this format. I have with you enjoyed the events of
late and the stimuli that has come from your interchanges with
others. I am always interested in discussions that regard
rebellion and the effects of rebellion and the residue loyalty
to rebellion that you carry in your hip pocket if not in your
genes.
I have been asked about Satan and Lucifer in terms of the
Satanic cult and in terms of the concept of Lucifer having been
forgiven and further, the concept of the Father's complicity in
the rebellion as a result of His not interfering with the
Lucifer Manifesto.
This is probably too much to take on in one portion of an
afternoon session but I have a scope of response to present
which does not get to the bottom of the issue, no, and which
will hopefully leave you all unsettled as to the subject, but
