THE TEACHING MISSION |

6/02/2002
Ham: Greetings, children, I am Ham and I wish this
greeting to be received warmly for my heart overflows
with tender feelings for you each. It is good to have our
wandering friends return, welcome.
Life, my dears, can be full of the unexpected. Good and
bad, the unexpected gives life its spice, its romance, its
interest. Remember too that you yourselves are filled
with the unexpected. Never do you reach a place where
you can say, "I completely know myself" for always there
is something that you manifest personally which can
surprise even you.
Likewise, so it is about your fellows. People can be a
constant source of amazement. No matter how well you
think you know someone, always will there be
something surprising to be learned or something
surprising newly manifest.
You are each like diamonds with a 100,000 facets.
Depending how the light shines upon you, you will
manifest different aspects of yourselves. The Father is
constantly turning you, changing your position, so that
his light can reach all the many facets he has created.
The changes, the difficulties in life, are as though he
were polishing some part of you that is hidden, that he
wishes to reveal. Sometimes, he is engaged in cutting,
grinding, and polishing, and all these things are
frightening and painful at the time. But later on, it
reveals something beautiful about yourself that you had
not known that was hidden.
Life is full of twists and turns and this is what makes life
exciting, interesting, and full of joy. Often times, the pain
must happen first before you are ready to experience
the joy of living. Always is it true that pain must be
experienced before you are ready to relinquish your
control and your fears and finally to trust the Father.
One my ask, what is the Father’s will? It is very simple.
First, that you love him and next that you trust him as a
child trusts in a wise and caring father. These two
things, love and trust, are the keys to eternal survival
and the keys to a contented life in this world.
When a man dies in the flesh, he has no choice but to
trust. When a man dies to himself and is reborn in the
spirit, he has made a choice to trust. When Jesus said,
you must lay down your life to save it, this is what he
was talking about. The life of the reborn, trusting human
is one in which all things become new and life, good
and bad, is received with the same calm demeanor.
Trust is a great treasure. It is the pearl of great price.
Simple childlike trust is complete and all encompassing.
Once you have crossed over into a life of trust, faith and
love, there is no turning back. Everything is before you,
even eternity. The past is dead, the future lives.
Receive eternal life with great gladness. Receive it,
know that it is yours and know for certain that all the
polishing, the difficulties of the future, serve only to
prepare you for your eternal estate. Reach with faith
and grasp eternal life. It is yours, absolutely.
Are there any questions at this time?
Q: I want to know if this trust and this rebirth is
something that happens all at once of if it is a process
that unfolds over a long period of time?
Ham: Oh my son, it is a process. Sometimes, there is a
moment of clarity that is life changing, a moment of
decision. But usually, and always even after this
decision, trust is gradually established. For always,
human nature tends toward self-reliance,
self-assurance, self self self. So, releasing that old ball
and chain is a gradual process that entails increasing
spiritual freedom as trust develops. The more you trust,
the freer you are.
Q: Could you amplify the last statement a little bit?
Ham: Yes. Trusting the Father is spiritual liberation. It is
like trusting your wings as you fly first in short hops then
in increasing soaring vistas. The Father’s spirit is like
the wind, the air currents which hold you aloft in a
seemingly miraculous way and you are free to be
completely yourself without the old fears of mis-stepping
or plunging to earth. Trusting the Father is like the
surrender of a child to sleep. The child is secure in his
safety, secure in his love, completely at peace and
sublime surrender. Trusting the Father is like a child
calling out in the darkness and having his father arrive
with a light that reassures him the imaginings of his
mind were unreal, that the shadows in the darkness are
not bears or lions. Trusting the Father is that complete
safety the child finds in his fathers arms when the father
kisses him and smooths his hair and perhaps lays
beside him until the child can sleep. Increasing trust in
the Father simultaneously implies decreasing fear. Fear
is that which chains, stifles, and discourages. Trust is
that which liberates, reassures, and affirms. Liberation
from fear is liberation indeed.
Q: I can see how one can completely trust in the big
picture, such as trusting in eternal life. It is the smaller
things, the day to day things, that are harder. Let me
see if I understand this. I should trust that no matter how
these everyday situations turn out, even if it is failure or
disaster, that in the long run it is all for my betterment. I
should trust that even if things are bad, it is only
polishing my diamond.
Ham: Exactly.
Q: Thank you.
ham: Yes, trust that what you go through is designed for you.
It is not so much the random occurrences of an uncaring
universe, but rather the caring shaping experiences that
are necessary for your progress in the Father’s
kingdom. The Father knows every little things that you
go through. He is overseeing it all. There are no little
things to the Father.
Q: So Ham, I have understand that complete trust in the
Father would eliminate all fear?
Ham: Yes.
Q: Does that occur in this lifetime?
Ham: It occurred for Jesus of Nazareth. He was truly a
fearless man. At times, he chose to experience human
fears simply for the added experience. But yes, he
absolutely attained this. There have been some who
have attained very high levels of spiritual living. But I
would say none that have attained it as completely as
your master.
Q: Ham do you have anything for Rebecca?
Ham: Certainly. My daughter, you are doing very well.
You are indeed finding this sense of peace and trust
more and more every day. This sense of peace and
trust creates for you much more quiet relaxation, even in
the mist of much activity. This sense of grounding and
of being increasingly certain of the Father’s love and of
your place in the world gives you a new sense of
balance sense of real security. You are doing very well
my dear. I am very pleased with your progress.
Q: Jarad?
Ham: Jarad my son, you also do well. You too are
finding increasing peace and increasing levels of
spiritual comfort as you progress in your trust of the
Father. There is some part of your ego that fights daily
for control, control of comfort and control of what you
would think of as your drive. There is some fear of
releasing that ego drive to succeed which is connected
to the ego need for control. Stillness and prayer will help
you through this next period and you will find that you
are actually more productive without the ego drive.
Q; Self-forgetfulness?
Ham: Yes, exactly.
Q: Seek and you shall find. Seeking also involves letting
go. Again, I say, Seek and you will find. This is a solemn
promise made by the Master to all who follow him. Seek
with complete sincerity and a pure heart and you will
find that which you seek. Is this helping my son?
Q: The ego drive is manifested in always trying to sell
everybody on myself.
Ham: Certainly, yes.
Q: It seems that some of that is necessary in the work.
Ham: Well, but you are coming to a point to let go of this
drive. This is already occurring with nothing but good
effects for your work.
Q: Ham would you have a message for Robert?
Ham: Certainly. My son, be at peace. You have come
far and continue in your quest for truth and
enlightenment. Remember that the Father watches over
you completely, that you can trust him. Remember the
Master said, do not worry about what you should wear
or what you should eat or how you would live for the
Father cares for all his children and provides that which
is needful. He said, observe the little birds. They do not
toil and yet see how amply they are provided for by the
bounty of my Father. Remember that all will be
provided. Trust in him and the way will open forth.
Q: Would you have a message for me please?
Ham: Certainly my son. You are gradually becoming like
that spiritual fountain the master spoke of. Let love
increasingly well up within you so that you may be a
refreshment to all who come to you. Let love guide your
words, let love be the source of your words. Trust the
Father to give to you that which you must give to others.
Increase your trust in the Father and your balance will
increase. Do not rely on other people, rely solely on the
Father. Rely on him to give you what you need and to
reveal the way in which to walk. Fear not, trust him
always.
Q: Ham, do you have anything for me?
Ham: Certainly. My daughter, it is wonderful to see that
you have come through great tribulation with renewed
strength, vision, and courage. You are a woman of great
spiritual strength, a strength that you are only beginning
to realize and understand. It is good for you to attend
these meetings. I would like to take you under my wing
for a while and to give you my love and encouragement
as you go about your life. Remember, and begin to
understand that you are a beloved daughter of the living
God, Father Creator and Upholder of all existence. You
are loved with an infinite love, a love eternal that shall
not fade, change, or alter in any way. Learn to rely upon
this love, rest your whole spirit upon it. The Master said,
come to me you who are weary and heavy laden and I
will give you rest. His words are promises, they are not
said lightly or to be taken lightly. Trust him and truly
your life will begin to soar like the bird we spoke of
earlier. Do not worry about where you should go or what
you should do at this time. Rest here. Learn. Do that
which your hand finds to do and do it well. Prepare in
the spirit for the future will unfold soon enough and you
will be none to ready when the Father calls. Is this
helping.
Q: Yes, thank you.
Q: Do you have anything for Samuel?
Ham: Yes. My son, be at peace. Rest in the divine
assurance of eternal life for this can be realized now.
Life is not to be lived at a later time, neither is eternal
life. Eternal life begins now.
Q: Do you have a personal message for Marije?
Ham: My daughter, you are experiencing a new stage in
your life. This will entail adjustments and this is to be
expected. Where there is love, there is always a way to
be found that brings peace and harmony to any
relationship. Gradually, the way is found and the
relationship solidifies and becomes stable, even unto
eternal life. Fear not the little chafes and slips that occur
when two people begin a life together. Truly this
relationship is meant to be and will grow stronger in
time. Be at peace, my dear, that is all.
Q: Do you have a personal message for Charlie B?
Ham: Certainly, my son, you do very well. You are also
experiencing some lessons in trust and this is all for the
good. Trusting the Father is something that increases
over time and as the trust increases, your closeness
with him increases as well. Your relationship with the
Father gets closer and solidifies. Give him your total
trust along with your total love and appreciation. You do
well my son.
Q: Do you have any feedback for me this week?
Ham: You do well my son. As with running, sometimes
you stumble a little and break your stride, but always it
is quickly recovered and you carry forward with
complete courage and increasing trust. Always you
have trusted yourself and relied upon yourself and now
gradually this trust and reliance is shifting onto greater
shoulders. This will be as a great burden lifted and you
will find that increasing freedom we spoke of as you
shift your burdens from your shoulders to the Father.
Trust, trust, and more trust are your keys for an ever
more peaceful life.
Very well, are there any further questions at this time?
Q: What you said about control, can you kind of be
more specific about that. I would like to follow your
advice about it.
Ham: Yes, gradually each person goes from controlling
the outer world to controlling the inner world. The inner
world cannot be controlled in the conventional sense.
Inner control comes only with surrender. Inner peace,
comes with surrender. Then, when one is inwardly at
peace, what occurs in the outer world is less of a
concern. One’s personal comfort comes from within.
The Master, as he traveled place to place, was always
inwardly at peace regardless of the circumstances of
where he found himself. His trust was so complete that
the loaves and the fishes were multiplied and thus the
inner bounty was brought to the outer world. Concern
yourself not with what you should eat, what you should
wear, or how you should look. Be unconcerned with
how you should conduct yourself. For all these things
trust in him and allow this inner bounty to be manifest
outwardly, naturally, without work.
Q: That’s awful good thinking.
You are welcome my son, I am glad you come to me.
Rest you, all of you, therefore in complete peace. Pray
for those spiritual virtues you wish to acquire. Seek after
the way sincerely and completely with an open heart
and you will have all that is needful for your journey.
Release your control over things and people, even of
yourselves. Rest instead with perfect trust in the Father.
Trust him to give you what you need. Go in peace, my
loved ones, my prayers are with you. Farewell.
