Coming Back From Madrid

Starting this painting outdoors gave me the opportunity to really appreciate the richness of burnt sienna in the rocks, the delicacy of old fence posts, the absurdity of cacti, and the foolishness of any individual who might think he has any control over Mother Nature. For all of it, this is a very happy picture. (18” x 24”)
